If you too are afflicted by a yearning to own a classic Alfa, this Petrolicious video will not help. It's the story of Dorian Valenzuela's beautiful Alfa Giulia 1300 Ti and, in the best restoration way, what started as a small project swelled into an awful lot more.
But just look at the result. Dorian says it's built as a canyon car, with strong motorsport influence and a road racer vibe. It may have once been a 1300 but a new 2.0-litre engine boasts roughly twice the power of the original. On 45mm Weber carbs it sounds absolutely superb too. You have to hope his plans for fuel injection don't come to fruition.
One last thing before you click the link and then progress to the classifieds. This old Alfa is actually familiar to PH so it's great to see it get recognition on the global stage. Dan came across it on his LA trip in 2013 (where the lead pic is from), one of many lovely cars residing at Singer's base. The video explains how an old Alfa project became a job there, and very interesting it is too.
