Head to Spain for sunny trackdays
Fed up with our dismal summer? A new company is offering professionally run trackdays in southern Spain.
‘Trackdays Spain’ is aiming to provide a ‘first class, well organised track day, keeping driver numbers low (45 is the limit) to maximise track time and limit waiting time with safety a priority on the day.’ They’re aiming at those who keep cars in the locality or who might be touring on holiday with their cars.
Apparently, an Enzo and a Ferrari 550 Barchetta are among the cars already signed up, as well as a Triumph TR8 and the usual suspects from marques such as BMW. The company will offer expert advice from a professional FIA GT3 championship race driver and from the Track Days team that has over 20 years combined experience in organising track days.
The business is aiming to operate between circuits such as Ascari that offer days but at very expensive rates and days organised by Spanish providers at the budget end of the market.
The company has its official launch on 27th July at the Spanish circuit Guadix. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, it is only 90 minutes from Malaga and is said to offer superb racing facilities at a much lower cost than similar tracks.
For the launch, there’s a special price of 299€ per person, which includes: circuit time, expert advice, lunch, refreshments and prizes.
Days can be arranged on an individual basis or for groups and the firm is also offering bespoke corporate days.
