Crail Raceway - the motorsport facility based on a coastal WWII naval air base in Fife, Scotland - is to receive Motor Sport Association approval as a sprint venue.
The forthcoming approval is the result of a meeting with the MSA and is welcome progress for the venue which for the last four years has run a series of very successful track based events.
In future competitors have the use of the timed 1/4 mile sprint on the drag strip and also the new, purpose built 1.4 mile long sprint track.
Director of Crail Airfield Promotions, William Robertson, commented: "We are delighted to be receiving MSA approval and hope that it will improve the profile of the venue across the country. We have worked hard to ensure that all the necessary safety requirements are maintained at Crail and this new allocation is testament to this."
