The world’s first motorcycle engine powered Smart Car will be launched on the Pipercross stand at the Autosport Show.
The brand new car has been converted by Z Cars, the company which also produced the world record breaking twin-engined Tiger Z100WR. With a specially customised subframe, six-speed sequential gearbox and a Suzuki GSXR 1000 pushing out 12,000 rpm and 180bhp the motorcycle engined Smart Car is sure to attract a crowd. Due to go into production during Spring 2004, visitors will also enjoy taking a closer look at the specialised subframe in kit form, which will also be on display.
Z Cars will also be showcasing their motorcycle engined front wheel drive Mini and the 400bhp turbo single bike engined rear wheel drive Mini from their stand 11160, in the Oval Racing Experience on 10th and 11th January.
