I'm game - based in Warrington as you know. How about Oulton Park on one of the free entry days they have (car testing or experience days). Not suggesting we enter! But the surroundings are good, there's a coffee shop and plenty of parking. Only trouble is it's not exactly around the corner. Would it be worthwhile gathering together a list of suggested venues? Personally, I think it would be good to come up with a venue and 'schedule' to meet up - and something to do. Might be a bit embarrassing if we all meet, say 'hi' and then look all embarrassed when we don't know what to do next. The southern clan seem to have regular meets. What do they do for their itinerary? I'm likely to have a 'sprog' for the meet so a few hours would probably be my max anyway. FWIW, how about:- 1) meet up at x o'clock at venue - park up and have photo session (any pro photographers in the group?) 2) Eat (either bring your own or in pub/restaurant/cafe (any landlords (or someone who knows one) in the group? 3) go for a 'cruise' (share route and timings before meet so if anyone doesn't make the food they can still join). 4) second 'venue' for some more pics and pleasantries). 5) quick 'award ceremony' for the say - 'loudest car, dirtiest car, blackest car (I'm in for that one) most modified etc etc (we can print some certificates out - just a bit of fun.
Sorry to appear to be so anal - but I know, for example, that my misuss (who's not a petrol head) will want to know what I'm committing her to and others might have similar needs. :-)
Really looking forward to seeing you guys.

i was originally thinking of a evening meeting localish maybe a pub with a decent car park or somewhere you can grab a coffee .weekend stuff is ok but time consuming for people with family ect .although oulton is a good venue for a weekend one .with the exception of a couple sofar most are within an hour of each other .i,ll keep an eye on the posts this week then see whos where and try and sort something .keep the ideas coming .for any that are not on the site regular if you pm me an email or mobile and i can contact you if we dont hear from you on here
thanks gary
Im based in stockport so anywhere I can get there and back on 1 tank would suit
Ohhh and a small question (which I think I know the answer too).
My monaro was registered late 05 but its the original shape, no bonnet scoops, single side dual exhaust. Am I right in thinking this makes it an 04 cv8 and this is the correct cat back box?

I've just had an exhaust custom built for for my 2004 CV8 in Stockport. Built to a borla design and sounds great. Didn't cost £900 either. If we do get round to a meet your welcome to take peak.
