Hi guys, trying to put a deal together on an 05 Audi TT V6 manual. It's fully modified and is one of the best in the country. Mapped, upraded brakes, exhaust, suspension, wheels, interior, the lot! Looks amazing and built properly by the TT Shop.

My friend just threw me a curve ball and he found a really nice Black 05 350Z GT4 for sale. 19's, brake upgrade, exhaust and intake, upgraded audio.

Both cars are in excellent condition with nothing to spend but the catch is I haven't driven or seen either one. Forum members have both told me that each car is spot on but I am in Edinburgh and one is in London and the other is 4 hours away and I can't get time off to go and see them.

Both are £9,000 and are the same age and mileage. I need to pick one so which would you guys go for?

Impossible to choose, they are both beauties! Just be careful to check them out thoroughly before purchase, I got stung badly ac ouple of years back on a 3 year old Q7 I bought through a dealer, it was 320 miles away and obviously clocked on closer investigation and every panel had had a lick of paint - not impressed!

I test drive my mates TT V6 DSG before i bought my previous 350z. The Audi was clearly capable, but for me didn't really feel that much fun. The 350z i ended up buying sounded better (louder), it has a lot more character and was more fun to drive. Both are good all rounders. The TT will be usable in winter.

Wrong. It's 4wd and not a 225. Should have around 245hp. Rear set up is nothing like the golf.

350z for me please. I know the TT has some upgrade but £9K is a bit on the steep side?

I've got a Zed, but will be impartial. The TT was based on the MKiv golf, perhaps one of the worst iterations of the golf, although the TT probably has more in common with the R32. TT just looks, well, bleurgh

I would say the Zed is potential overpriced. I'm sure you can pick up a facelift for £9k.

Personally try and drive both. Visit http://www.350z-uk.com/index great resource for potentially and current owners.

I didn't realise they made a manual TT V6? Unless this is a modification?

Anyway, I'd choose the Nissan of the two but I wouldn't really want to buy either, in truth. That sort of money would land you a good Supra twin turbo manual. 90's Toyota trumps either of these efforts.

Sod the balanced argument - I'd vote the Nissan.

I'd love a Z. There like the love child of a Muscle Car and a European GT... adopted by the Japanese... That one is a mean-lookin' piece of beauty too!

I'm really not a fan of the TT. I'm sure it's just fine to drive, but it looks like a melted VW Beetle.

350Z for me. They do suit black; the car in the pic you've posted looks great. What's not to like? RWD Japanese GT car with a meaty N/A engine, decent noise. I'm even one of the very few that quite likes the interior. Seriously considered one when I bought my S2000. Do it.

Au contraire. Having owned a TT 225, driven a friend's V6, and test driven a 180, I can confirm that TT's are always better to look at that they are to drive! A fabulous piece of visual design mated with a rather average driving experience. The only ones I haven't driven are the 150 and the Quattro Sport.

Having driven both, 350z every day of the week. The TT is a very competent thing for covering distance quickly, but it's utterly devoid of anything approaching driver entertainment. The 350z is much more exciting.

Sorry but what exactly was the criteria that gave these two very different cars as the only answer ?

But from these two - 350Z

Both cars are near perfect and I've checked all the forum posts about them and both cars have been vouched for. Fortunes spent on both of them. I'd be happy with either. How do I choose?

Near perfect for what ?

Personally I need 4 seats so that would rule out the 350Z

I also have eyes so that would rule out the TT

I also like a great drivers car so that again would rule out the TT

What exactly do you want / need ?
