Good to see you there Rich. Hope this morning showed that any car is welcome*, no matter the make or condition. Get your 996 to a meet soon.
Thanks Huw, will bring it along to the next meet- Well maybe not the idiot in the M3 last month, who left the car park sideways. This wasn't Neil by the way.
I have taken these comments from the spotted thread as it was getting taken off topic and they relate to the breakfast meet.
Lacquer flake on your alloys? Not a problem I am familiar with, that's about the only benefit to having wheel trim's.

I think you will only get positive comments. No doubt you will be asked how much you paid for it, some will say “is that all” whilst others will mutter something about their last service costing twice that.

I know it isn't a super car meet, I would just feel a little embarrassed driving into the car park with lacquer flakes flying everywhere and getting out to reveal a torn drivers seat. Not to mention the overall shoddy state of the previous owners repair work
eta: Now I think of it I might as well just hang a sign on it saying "I bought it in the dark and the rain, yes, I know"

Torn driver's seat: Yep, got one of those on the van, not heard a comment about it from anybody.

Yes know it well, order food from there from time to time, guessing you guys must be locals then? im up near llandybie but also stay back down in my home town, llanelli.
Llandybie, you can't be far from the Rolls Royce & Bentley specialist.shades_rs said:
I'm thinking if you guys are spinning around in Astons and ferrari's, my car def won't cut it ha.. Will have to tag along a mile or 2 back ;-) must have just missed you all yesterday, I was about.. Ended up taking the family to Margam park. Only thing I spotted was a 1972 MG-B :-/
If you are concerned that your car won't cut it, then fit it with a cloaking device, I don't won't to show up the guys with their Ferrari's/Porsche's/Veyron's etc so I have fitted one to my supercar, it is very convincing.andi_p said:
I have turned up in my land rover, with squeaky suspension, interior covered in dog fur, wheel arch cover falling off - nobody gives a sh*%, just get in the car and come along and enjoy the conversation.
What Andi said. Come along, have some breakie and join in the banter, it's what we do. swferrari said:
I will be there and may have convinced some newbies to come too fingers crossed
You already know its going to be sunny?

Only joking. I should be there as long as the new windscreen has been fitted.
