The roads were greasy as hell just outside Edinburgh right the way through to the coast.

I'm being funny Jock, but I think to be fair to to MTB, the guy was up at 8.18 checking what people wanted which you didn't respond to (or didn't read).

You're only an hour away mate, you could have checked.
Wasn't going to happen, as I'd already left. I had checked, but my own fault for getting up so early on a Sunday. I stopped for breakfast on the way up, hence the early departure. I don't possess a smartphone either!

I came from Gifford, through to the A68 south of Pathhead, then down to the City Bypass at Sherriff Hall. Yes, the local East Lothian roads were wet, but the bypass was dry, and so it continued all the way to Stirling really.

Frankly, the ride out was less important to me than meeting the rest of you guys, but there will be other opportunities.

Trackday at knockhill this week if you're interested... I'll be there assuming I can fix my sodding charging issues.

I'd be there in a heartbeat apart from two issues:-

1. I am bad luck when it comes to Knockhill. Any time I plan on going it pisses down.
2. Sadly I am working down south during the week until the end of June.

If anyone is up for a trackday from 1st July onwards I'd be up for it.

Anyone doing Knockhill? I'm not, as always I am too skint. But if the weather stays good I'll be doing a shortish run on Saturday from Edinburgh to St Mary's Loch. Then either coming back the same way (via Innerleithen / Peebles) or continuing to Moffat and coming back on the A701. If anyone wants to join in feel free biggrin

well it was man down with the first 30 minutes as prolapse decided to try braking in the kitty litter.

it didn't end well. fud smile

that's me just sat down with the best chippy I've had in years.

it was a good night apart from my bloody bike jumping into neutral every couple of laps while going into corners.

if I surprised anyone in the corners due this sorry. there was little I could do.

hopefully get a few mini runs organised this weekend around Scotland.
