Well, my excuse is that when I'm at sea, I have 12 hours off time, (I wouldn't dream of perusing during work hours whistle), which consists of either the cabin, the canteen, or the outside deck, for 6 months of the year, and 6 months of the year when I am off work and others are doing their 9-5 jobs, and PH is as good a place to read news, views and opinion as anywhere else.

I've got to admit I've never encountered or witnessed any mod issues at all, in fact I still don't even know who the mods are on here other than Garlick (snip)
Most mods on here are superb. They are good because they do their moderation without anyone noticing it...but...there is one or maybe two mods who are blunter in the way they do things and consequently a lot of complaints are made in website feedback about them.

This/these mod/s are not particularly helpful for PH or it's users.

As I say, most of the mods are superb, especially the regular ones in general motorsport.

There is nothing worse than a bluntering mod.

Endless quoting of pictures.

Stealth Moderators. Be good to find out who were actually Mods and how many there were.

Search Function issues.

People who use the word 'stock' when they mean 'standard'.

Anyone who mentions 335d (mapped), red bull, goatee, company director or the like. Normally new members who weren't members when those 'jokes' were in vogue.

People who repost in the 'youtube' thread, without even having a quick scan to see if it has been posted recently!

A few:

1) The ability of some posters to deteriorate threads into a willy waving contest. This can either consist of members stating they will only use/buy the most expensive thing ever or the antithesis where anything greater than ASDA value is 'ghey'.

2) The inability of some people to simply agree to disagree. It appears on this forum more than most there is a belief that one is RIGHT. Therefore, plenty of decent threads have been ruined by members arguing over (often trivial) points in which it's simply a matter of opinion rather than a right or wrong answer.

3) Stereotyping and general ishness. See the most recent personalised numberplate thread for a number of gold plated examples of this.

There are times when I am sitting on my hands going "don't reply, don't respond"

Not a gripe - but I do wonder about the people with massive post numbers - how do you find the time, is PH your life?

Not a gripe as such, but I like when someone detects a troll or an idiot who has wandered in without a senseable thing to say.....oh!

I've upset no-one, he offended my sensibilities with hints of unsubstantiated nonsense. I have a low tolerance threshold for idiocy.

Check my post history. Check the huge variety of responses, oftne helpful.

It's late, ive had a rough day and this is a public forum where a bit of light relief and nonsense is the norm, even threaded through the most serious subjects.

I'll back out of this one now so you can enjoy your thread.
