Le Mans 24hrs 2013
Discussion
I can hardly believe no one's started the thread yet - but it's almost upon us
Practice starts tomorrow !
Eurosports do an amazing job of coverage - starts at
Wednesday
Eurosports 2
17:00 Live Le Mans 24 Hours - Free practice (120min)
The Eurosports / HD
20:30
With 1st qualifying session starting at 21:00
http://www.24h-lemans.com/en/program/program_2_2_1...
http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/tvschedule.shtml
I have to say I have no idea who's the favourite this year ( Audi I guess ) but it's always an amazing event. Weather looks pretty mixed for the next 2 days and across the weekend to add a little more spice to the mix.
There's normally loads of cool links people find - so please share.

Looking forward but I hope Robbie Nock isn't back on Eurosport's coverage.
Good news! (no, not the Dacia Sandero...) No Robbie Nock this year
It seems they're using an all French crew this year, so at least they'll have an excuse for murdering the English language

Audi clear favorites, Toyota looked to be sandbagging a bit in testing though.
LMP2 and GTE are where the real racing will be, both classes are wide open.
I can't get excited about LMP2 even though the competition is close, I don't indentify with the teams and drivers enough. The marques and drivers in GTE makes it more interesting to me, love the GT cars LMP2 and GTE are where the real racing will be, both classes are wide open.

could always look in the Le Mans thread.....
What Le Mans thread in here. Or do you mean the Le Mans forum?Speeding fines
Beer mountains
Car stickering
Tolls
Toll badge things
Photos at Boulogne peage
Tickets
Camping arrangements
Weather
Routes to Le Mans
Ferry crossings
Tunnel crossings
Speeding fines
Car stickering
Weather
And speeding fines
What is never discussed in a Motorsport forum fashion is the actual race, never, it gets brief mention after the event .... Sort of in despatches, a footnote to the weekend of you like.
So a proper race discussion thread, of the race itself, is probably best in here TBH.

We always have a motorsport thread in here. These newbies - in my day back with the internet was powered by steam and it was just me & Dave on here
Anyway - glad that's cleared up - can't wait till tomorrow and somehow managed to arrange my weekend around about 36hrs of motorsport

I'm 120 months old next month (10Years!!)
Once again, I'm forced to rely on TV instead of the actual trip, but boy am I looking forward to it. Combo of Radio LeMans and Eurosport and I'm a happy bunny.
I'll be honest, I'm not up to speed on the runners and riders yet, but I believe Manthey are there this year, so that's got to be an interesting proposition.

I know what you mean. All private teams, some with random backing from Caterham, Alpine, Morgan etc. There is some seriously good driver line ups though! Hartley, Krumm, Brundle Jnr, Ordonez, Kimber-Smith, Rossi, Luhr.. the list of top sports car drivers goes on!
GTE looks like an epic battle. I fancy Ferrari to take it but the Astons are very quick.
