That's no problem don't worry. Although I am confused as to how it got on because it's mob proof. confused

There's a drop under the carpets at the front which stops them walking across.

Thanks for the offer on the materials Dan, I have big plans there so may need them smile

I'm in the middle of organising my inventory to one location rather than having stuff spread between the hut/farm and the castle.

Started work on my minecart network over the weekend to, linking my hut to various locations :-).

I've mad a few neat redstone hidden stairways and doors, leave me a sign if anyone manages to find them- there's little presents inside if you do.

Is what you are all playing here different to what my kids are addicted to?
Basiclaly they just make blocks and trap chickens and sheep and meander around not doing much else.
Is this really the same game that you are all playing?

We trap chickens and set cows on fire and build pretty little houses too, but yes, its the same game, This game is effectively a 'sandbox' game, you have the freedom to do whatever you want in it.

You want to build a waterslide, sure. You want a 400 block high tower, sure, you want to go fighting zombies and exploding creepers, sure.

The game is simple yet complex if your happy to explore it further and experiment. smile

Granted, it has no practical use in the game, but its nice to go and see what others have built and try to make something different.

Have a play for 5 mins and il bet you end up playing it for an hour, its strangely addictive, the potential to make anything within your imagination (and square blocks) is strangely fun.

Yes! As Tom says, the only limit is your imagination. If you have no imagination or vision you'll be bored of it within 10 mins but it is very addictive, especially if you're playing together on a server. A lot of the custom challenge maps that some talented players make will keep you entertained for weeks.

I have! I tried to get into it as a friend had said the same and I simply cannot comprehend it. Its like being a 3 year old playing with wooden blocks but even worse graphics.
I have admittedly poor imagination so perhaps that's what the problem is, but if you went into a childs playroom would you start piling the blocks up and say that you were building a waterslide - use your imagination? Wheres the difference

Its not for everyone, my mrs cant grasp it at all. but your reading this so you must have an interest, I recommend having a look at some videos on youtube for ideas and basics of the game.

Dont worry about enchanting, brewing or redstone to begin with, this will come later. Ive been playing this a few years and have only built a handfull of redstone mechanisms, and have only just started using brewing.

Learn how to build a pick, an axe, a shovel and a sword. and craft a few other bits, and just go from there.

My other half's comment was

"It's just like playing with lego, but with st graphics"

She loves Lego, we build models together but just doesn't get minecraft.

However she prefers me playing this to COD or Forza as it's less violent and noise haha
