I have! I tried to get into it as a friend had said the same and I simply cannot comprehend it. Its like being a 3 year old playing with wooden blocks but even worse graphics.
I have admittedly poor imagination so perhaps that's what the problem is, but if you went into a childs playroom would you start piling the blocks up and say that you were building a waterslide - use your imagination? Wheres the difference
If the building aspect isn't for you there's always the redstone to get into. easy to get into but can become quite complicated for the more complex stuff, just type 'redstone creations' in Youtube to get an idea of whats it like.

I spent about a week building an analogue clock tower only to D/L a mod that gives me something similar moan

Did someone get their arse handed to them over at the wither skeleton spawn area? hehe

I've just picked up a ton of stuff off the ground, namely "Bow of learning", "Sword of learning", "Silky pick", "Effy 5 spoon", "Effy Five!" pick, 3 skulls and some other random st. I've rounded it up and put it in the chest at the bottom of the ladder.

So my 4 year old son loves it. I also think it is fun...but he really loves it. We have it on an ipad, the "Pocket Edition". Sorry if this has already been posted, but it there an easy way of playing with others, i.e. in some sort of a online community?

nuts

That's all the stuff I lost about a week ago (or more)!!!! Got properly hammered by some feckin' blazes, went back, got hammered again, when I went back the third time there was nowt there!

I really don't understand this game sometimes! biggrin

Anyhows, cheers for the heads up, will get online and collect it!

And I guess the good news is, since I replaced it all (feckin' hours on the ender farm and enchanting table...) I now have 2 sets of quality gear! smile

Cheers for picking it all up Rob thumbup

Are we upgrading to 1.8? The latest snapshot seems stable, mindcrack have it and I bet the full release is out soon?

I am not sure how big a job it is?

Server IP was posted on previous page, that's all you need at your end but I'll need your player name to add it to the server access list.

I've been finding it annoying when using the gold farm to have to constantly remove all the unwanted rotten flesh and gather the gold nuggets - so I'm trying to build a system using hoppers and comparators that will gather all the items together, then filter out the rotten flesh and dispose of it, and gather all the gold together in one chest.

It's proving quite a challenging task, esp. as I have no experience with comparators, and they seem to work mainly by witchcraft...

I now have a working system! It looks proper Heath Robinson, but as Rob will tell you, I don't really aim for aesthetics - as long as I works I'm happy! smile

The gold is delivered adjacent to the base of the ladder, and the rotten flesh is disposed of in lava. Job jobbed! smile

That's really cool (obviously to us not the real world). I'm looking forward to seeing it working!

It doesn't work at all. I've just spent 30 mins there after starting the timers and filling up the hopper and there is no gold to be found anywhere. Waste of time. Please build a functioning design.
