200MP
Am I the only one who thinks the Megapixel race has gone silly?

The more pixels you squeeze into the same size sensor, the 'noisier' the image will be before processing (which has limits). So unless you need to crop heavily, you're actually reducing image quality.

...and let's be honest, you only need* 300ppi for smaller prints and 150ppi for posters, so even 20 MP will give you perfect quality for an A2 poster or a 12x18 print.

* You can probably get away with less, but above these figure it makes little odds.
I usually just leave it on 12MP, sometimes bump up to 50MP, but decided I was going to use it as my wallpaper and possibly print it, hence going for 200MP, but I agree it has ended up a little silly, Apple stuck at 12MP for years.

We have some snow in Aberdeenshire. This is an A road, the unclassified road we live on is (more fun) untreated.

That scene is uncannily familiar to me. You weren't walking out of a north Wiltshire (but South of the M4) market town just past a secondary school, were you?

After work dog walk, still light at 17:00, a glimmer that spring is on its way.

Taken with a Pixel 7 pro on a phone tripod and around a 120s long exposure. Atmosphere was incredibly clear as was taken at about 14,000ft. Probably a lot of software wizardry involved but still very happy with it !
