Before we start, I know the Beeb say they are letting it die because the valves are no longer available. Yet three weeks ago we had full service, the next week just the static hiss, and last weekend programmes on Saturday and none on Sunday. Yesterday, I went shopping and there was the daily service and then - hiss. Obviously, it is only in the car we have this problem since indoors we can stream it, but I wish the Beeb would make up their minds one way or another. And I shall really miss the cricket commentary!

You could always drag yourself in to the internet age if all else fails.

I just link my phone to the bluetooth input in our cars ( and to my lid on the bike! ) to stream Radio 2 whilst driving, it integrates well with Waze too.....

If you download the BBC Sounds app to your phone, you can receive all of the BBC radio stations, including 4.
I've been listening to radio 2 all week whilst building a gym for her ladyship.

Thank you from an old duffer. I now have a number of channels registered on my phone and even found out how to make them connect via Bluetooth! But the silly thing is - the old 198LW is now working full time! But if I remember I use your link because LW suffers from so much interference.
