I’ve been rebuilding some of my old (when it was called) Technical Lego using all period-correct pieces. The go-kart and yellow ones date from 1980, and I still have the boxes and instructions of all of these. More to come…
Super! The go kart was my first ever technic set, I remember building it vividly, even the smell of the plastic!Still have all my childhood Lego, so last year I built up 6 of my original technic sets : tipper truck, bulldozer and the go kart. I’ve also built the car chassis, rescue helicopter, and the early red tractor. Next up will be blue tractor that was available around the time of the car chassis. But might need to buy in a few spares.

A lorry load of LEGO arrived today! Just knocked up the Senna for our shop display… 5/6 sets with staff tonight being built up!
Well ship orders early next week!
They went to the expense of having new wheels and tyres made but could not be bothered to get the width right, just looks so wrong.Well ship orders early next week!

McLaren teaser

467,854 pieces, that will be a big box and require serious dedication and space to build!https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2pziYRI22N/?igsh=M...
If it's a teaser that's some serious forethought as it's been around about 5 years!
The Senna has been done several times as Lego and it's an old model, surely Lego would be doing something more relevant/recent

I’m also going to buy another Ferrari. There’s a really awesome F40 MOC that I want to do.
Finally caught up on all 453!! pages of this thread...
Lego obsessive here, moved just over a year ago and have started rebuilding some old sets, first up =
The heavy lift chopper is 60% ish complete, the 42009 currently awaits yet more shelving...
Then started hunting for all my older sets from when I was a kid, found these instructions so far;
I have probably 15-20 other technic sets from mid 80's onwards.
Then about 6/7 creator experts and 6 or so s/champions. And 3 more large tubs of space/town/city etc.
Trying to build every. Single. One.
Mrs C is getting a bit miffed at the attention I give it... I take meds for severe OCD, technically an illness

It's still there now, we visit quite often and it's my son's favourite bit to go see as they have an activity there to build your own Lego car. (He's got Lego at home, but going there and building is somehow different/better!) It is/was McLarens and they lent/gave it to Brooklands when they took delivery of the lego Senna. (The Senna has working lights, stereo, opening doors and a proper seat you can sit in)
The Lego 720s was delivered mostly Grey and the McLaren staff were given the opportunity to fit the last layer to make it orange.
They then stripped it off again and took it to Goodwood and let visitors put on the orange layer (as shown in the picture someone posted above)
