I'm usually posting in the sub £200 watch thread, but I came accross this for a cracking deal so went on impulse. Very happy since it was somewhat of a grail watch for me.
Saw one of these in a jeweller's window over the weekend, looked so much better than in pictures. Although I am biased, Longines have created some brilliant watches. It made me briefly reconsider whether a Hydroconquest was the right choice for me.Michael

Lovely watches these. I've got the older model. So many small details that you don't initially see and the blue really pops on a sunny day.SpanishTony said:

Thought I’d be wearing the Casio a bit out here but the GS on the silicone strap is super comfy. Bearing in mind it’s my other half’s daily and is the gym/work/pool watch it’s holding up great after 2 years.
I’m going to have to grab one, maybe the spring drive. Our CA sales partners all arrived with beautiful GS watches, spotted mine and I was surprised how interested they were, given its modest value.
It’s a keeper.

Needs a bit of a polish! This material really does take micro scratches easily.
Sorry for the weird angles, but one thing you don't notice otherwise is the amazing way the case and curved glass work...this watch is both very old school, and yet oddly futuristic.
It is both the first serious watch I bought, and remains my favourite. When I look at it up close, I think it is a seriously underrated thing, even against things like Pateks and VCs. The finishing is way better than anything else I own and i think the design (admittedly subjective) is super.
That really is a lovely watch. The first end-on shot shows how the crystal complements the form of the case. Unusual but at the same time classic Breguet.Sorry for the weird angles, but one thing you don't notice otherwise is the amazing way the case and curved glass work...this watch is both very old school, and yet oddly futuristic.

I agree, and it looks good in the pictures! Looking at yours I assume there isnt much difference over the older versions bar the bracelet and date window. I wanted something smaller, so finding one of these in 37mm was hard to refuse. It does wear like a slightly larger watch, so I feel I made the right choice over the 40 or 42mm. Harry Flashman said:
I like Farer as a brand, and enjoy wearing mine. This brand, Sternglas, seems to offer a similar sort of vibe. https://www.sternglas.com/collections/mens-watches
I've got the pale blue lumatik.

I'd rather this than the moonswatch, the design lends itself to plastic better. You get a good deal?
Are there deals to be had? I bought it from the store in Battersea. Arguably £350 on a plastic watch with a non-serviceable movement is never a good deal…Asked out of habit. I don't think I've paid RRP for a single watch, there's always somewhere to pay less. Obviously not so with these, exclusive hot property indeed and a good move by Swatch.
