Omega x Swatch Collaboration

I bought a Neptune today, in Miami, Lincoln Road. They had the full range, except Pluto. They said sales have slowed down, but they still sell a thousand a weekend! It's a lot of money $290ish inc. taxes, for something so light, then again that lack of weight makes it comfortable so far.
The Blancpain's are selling apparantly, but slower, I wasn't keen on the design.

Looks Fishy Dave, they’ve given you a Mercury, unless you were already wearing it to show you’re not a flipper The Blancpain's are selling apparantly, but slower, I wasn't keen on the design.

Currently owning 4 MoonSwatches and an Omega Dynamic Chronograph (Speedmaster reduced (which I formerly owned) with different dial), I have now bitten the bullet and bought a new Speedmaster Pro with hesalite crystal
Somehow the MoonSwatches have not diluted the brand and have me instead left wanting for the real deal

Does this mean that (a) it’ll be easier to pick up a Moonswatch in the desired version or (b) those are about to be retired?
I hope it’s the former. I would like one but am not desperate for one - I rarely get chance to visit one of the stores in person and when I have it was either a comedy queue (Oxford Street) or door blocked by two meathead security guards like a dodgy nightclub (Covent Garden).MrSmith901 said:
I was in Oxford Street the other week, went in, everything in stock. Then I realised I didn't really want one and walked out again. I think I had been waiting so long for a moon that by the time it was available I didn't really want it anymore. Oh well.
Great story, thanks for posting, that was really interesting.MrSmith901 said:

The initial hype was manufactured entirely by the false "supply and demand" issue that was created by Swatch. FOMO was real, and nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd. Not talking about people on here but there will be people buying and wearing these for no other reason than the hype. Sheep if you will.
It you like it, you like it, enjoy, but would people really be paying over 200 quid for a plastic quartz watch without the faux hype and the word omega? Extra £100 and your into automatic swiss Steinhart and Tissot or the Japanese brands.

I mean this is true about absolutely any goods beyond necessities. Even just sticking with watches, the only reason Rolex have gone wild is for the same reason you've mentioned. We're all human and we all like to compete in one way or another/follow trends for things. Pretending not to is a bit like pretending we don't need to breathe air.I bought my Mission on Earth in April or May last year and never wore it, sat in its box with stickers on in my wardrobe and today I finally got around to fitting a silicone strap to it I bought from eBay months ago in blue, I have to say I really like it now i've replaced the horrible velcro strap and it wears really well.
I was regretting buying it but now very pleased.
I think in a couple of days i'll probably put it away in my watch box and keep it as more of a summer weekend watch but definitely recommend a strap change on them

I see that they finally plan to release a black Blancpain which looks pretty good. All of the previous models were decidedly mickey mouse looking. I don't like it enough to buy one but some might who didn't like the previous models.
I don't know whether this was always planned as a second release or whether they were forced into it by bad sales of the coloured versions. Black was always going to be the most popular version.
