Not really, all that counts is that the retailer is making the decision (yes we all know the truth) but it's perfectly acceptable for a retailer to state that it will sell you an item at the recommended retail price at the point of completion. bordseye said:

I just read that as there will be no negotiation on the price full stop.To be fair the retailers are in a very strong position , they reject any offer to purchase at less than rrp as invariably they have more potential customers waiting in the wings.

• We are committed to doing all we can to protect the brand, by minimising wherever possible the activities of re-sellers operating unofficially on the ‘grey market’. In all cases the timepiece is sold and intended for your personal use only and will have the protective elements (bezel protector and stickers etc.) removed. We cannot make any exceptions to this.
• In the interests of fairness, we currently only accept one registration of interest per model and a maximum of three differing timepieces per client across the Watches of Switzerland Group. Please rest assured that all showrooms have the same access to our central stock allocations.
• If multiple registrations are made by any one client for the same model in different showrooms within our Group, all registrations of interest for that client will be cancelled.

The final point about multiple registrations with WOS group is interesting. I was always told that you can't be registered with more than one WOS retailer full stop. This email seems to say that multiple registrations for the SAME model at different showrooms will result in your registration being cancelled.We are contacting you to remind you of your registration of interest with us.

That's very different. It means that you could be registered for say a sub, dj and daytona in one showroom and a gmt, and skydweller at another.

ISTR that the Rolex fanbois on various fora were saying 'it is no longer a Rolex', seemingly in the same way that changing the alloys on a VW Golf to those found on a VW Passat would mean it was no longer a VW...

At a guess the ceramic bezels would not take kindly to home swapping.My old pre-ceramic Pepsi started life as a Coke and I had both bezels. I didn't swap them about, but people do.
