Has the Rolex bubble finally burst? Perhaps it has

Interesting insight and analysis from Bark and Jack, but the summary is that watch dealers, especially watch finder, are starting to ‘discount’ all of the sought-after models.
No skin off my nose, I bought my sub date for retail and intend to keep it forever, but I think a lot of people who bought at an inflated premium are about to be disappointed if they thought their money was 100% safe.

I often wonder what the point of the Schipol Rolex store is. It has nigh on been empty for years, with the occasional drop of Datejusts, or the odd high list price all gold sub. Sales assistant assures me that they get the popular items in, but they are usually snapped up in seconds by someone affluent enough passing by. Rinse later repeat.
It must be a st boring place to work as they stand behind the counter, back straight and hands clasped behind their backs. At least in the Omega store next to it, they have some interesting stuff and the assistant is usually happy to have a chat and let you wear some if it is quiet.

HiYou know this EXACTLY what sparked this thread nearly 400 pages ago?
Adrian Barker (Youtuber) noticed that WF had reduced their massively overpriced Daytonas to what other dealers were advertising them for and it sparked the bubble burst question!

While we were there, over a hour, overheard quite a few folk come in to see 'where they were on the list' to be told 'no idea' but I did get an email the following day to confirm my details although it is a bit non comital as to what I'll get offered and when.
I was in Goldsmiths (Bristol) on Saturday together with some Pi-key(ish) gents banging on about their 'relationship' with Goldsmiths - how they were a 'trusted customer' (is that a thing?!?) One of them was wrist checking a GMT2 Pepsi - 'I can buy this now yeah?
The managers comment was (after the predicable 'no') - 'we have an interest list of 200 for that piece and we get 2 a month'
No idea if that was regional or that particular shop or complete BS
