Marinated cod loin and broccoli.

Fish and seafood in general works so well on the barbecue.

Poor photo, but 3 different flavours of chipolata, caramelised onions and (very) spicy chicken wings (done in the air fryer) served here. Simple food but very tasty.

Sausages eaten in a buttered roll with English mustard and the onions.

That looks superb, one of these is definitely on the summer list..

We must know more of these home made pittas too please.
Thanks, I posted about the pittas over on the pizza oven thread, but here's the recipe I followed.

^^That recipe made about 15 pittas, so reduce the quantities. I froze the surplus dough balls.
The quantities of yeast and salt seem quite high, but they turned out well.

First BBQ of the year and attempted a porchetta

I’ve booked marked this, as Macknades (not to far away for good stuff but to far for everyday), sneaked a Porcetta recipe in with my Fennel the other day… looks yum..
Macknades? Must be East Kent like me, that came from Brogdale.

Our BBQ kitchen started taking shape last week (builders are back to put the roof and some walls in later this week)

BBQ wise, sat night was chicken thighs and smash burgers. yesterday was sausages for lunch

Oh very nice. Can't wait to see the finished article. Would love an outdoor BBQ kitchen type thing although I've settled for a gazebo and patio which has just been installed.

Dug out the base

New flags etc

Only got room for table and chairs plus my gas BBQ and a little kitchen island on wheels thing. It's great for storing and prepping with it's aluminum top and being on wheels, I can move it to the garage in the autumn. Being under the gazebo means I can keep the BBQ and console unit outdoors all summer.

Had a little party last weekend plus a couple of uses during this week too so will get plenty of use during the summer.
Looking good. Still got some bits to finish up (finish the electrics, clad one wall, install the bar tops and kitchen units.

Size wise it’s 7.2 x 3.6m with the kitchen area being about 2.5m deep

Looks fantastic. Do you have a photo showing the whole gazebo please?
A bit dark now, will take one tomorrow. It's an out sunny 3mx3m with polycarbonate roof. Not expensive and it's been through 3 winters, 60mph winds and no damage.

Here you go. Storm coming so curtains are closed to keep everything dry

Bought it from Amazon. Not the most fun thing to build but not too difficult

Does any one have any experience with Blackstone Griddles (or similar)? I'm thinking about getting a small electric one for doing burgers / eggs etc on

Hmmmmmm, yes that's suddenly got me thinking.......
Even on a windy day will that stand firm with walls down if it's sitting just on my lawn with the pegs hammered into the ground?

Didn’t really want to say but we had a similar Amazon one…. Ours was hexagonal with fences on four sides… brown canvas. We weighed it down with those weight bags… some full of sand, others full of water. We used ours over a hot tub!

After a storm the bottom of the posts remained but the rest ended up three or four doors down the street!

In one of my earlier pics you can see I dug out holes and fastened with concrete and bolted into the concrete.

3 winters and some big storms, no problems but you need to keep an eye on weather.

Anything over 30mph I pull the curtains in tight and tie them up with garden wire.

The weak point storm wise is the feet. While I've bolted into concrete, the feet are a separate part, and slide into the posts and 3 screws fasten the feet to the posts. Would be better if they were all one welded part, as the 12 screws are the only thing anchoring the gazebo to the ground.

It's had 60mph winds ok but not sure what the limit would be.

Weather's finally picked up here and my elderly big BBQ is in a right sorry state. Needs a really good clean and I just can't be arsed so as a stop gap picked up a mini ceramic egg.

Big enough for when it's just me and the Mrs so looking forward to trying it out, just doing a curing now so hopefully BBQ for dinner.

£79 down from £159 so reasonable value and way better quality than anything else at the £80 mark. It's from the Range (I'll head over to the council thread next) but seems good enough for our needs.

Is that the Aldi one?

I tried twice to get one delivered but both times they were damaged in transit, I gave up.

Nope, it's from The Range. If you've got one local see if you can reserve online and collect in store to save any delivery woes.

Fresh from the market and just tossed in some oil before grilling and then a bit of olive oil and lime juice on the squid after cooking.

With a pico de gallo to accompany
