Last nights Deal or No Deal....
Discussion
Have you ever tried playing the game On-Line..?
After about 3 games you'll be bored to tears.
How a games company could release in on Wii and Not expect it to be in the bargain bin within 48 hrs amazes me.
Even if you play for money on-line.. Its your gamble in the first place so you generally deal or go to the end no matter what.

I personally, am convinced that they are all actors employed to make it as dramatic as possible. You would think that if they were random members of the public that there would be a boring sh*te on every now and then.
There is a selection process that filters out anyone with sense, and only allows the gullible to appear on the show.randlemarcus said:
Wonder how she's getting on? This was from Jan/Feb 2007, so you would have thought she'd have had time to buy a few decent cars, and find her way here
No, she won it a few weeks ago. Someone from her home town (Monmouth) was the winner in 2007, so thats why that was mentioned.http://www.dond.co.uk/
I think those that say theres no stratagey or skill to the show are looking at it a little shallow.
Yes its random and theres no way of knowing how much is in each box, but each round alters the percentage chances and value of each deal point. So there is to me some modicum of skill in extracting the best offer from the banker, who makes assesments of peoples charachter in determining what offer will get them to fold.
Play the odds, or play the banker. Either way, the results are sometimes predictable and sometimes out of the blue.
It has many of the traits of a good poker match at times. At others its just randomly stupid.

It's bks, bks bks bks. The worst is Noel's little fking speeches at the end making out like this complete cretin (why are they always nobheads?) who's just opened a few boxes has achieved the equivalent of a cure for cancer and we should all be so fking proud of them as a result. An hour of meaningless tension over fk all.

The odds on choosing a blue or red box are Evens.
My father cannot get his head around the fact that halfway through the game, the odds are still evens it being a red or a blue.
"Oooo she's got rid of a lot of reds, odds are she has a blue"
"No Dad it's still evens. She chose when they were all available"
"Yes but she's got rid of a lot of reds, the odds are shes got a blue"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH"

So what you're suggesting is that even if you know she has got rid of ALL the reds, there is still a 50:50 chance that she has a red because they were the starting odds....surely the odds change as more information is gathered? My father cannot get his head around the fact that halfway through the game, the odds are still evens it being a red or a blue.

Edit - Or have I got that horribly wrong? - I always hated conditional probabilities
