No it’s a pro Trump thread.

We are just a bit short of good news to report at the minute.

It’s actually quite quaint, that people think that Trump should be in the centre of a balance, with arguments on either side weighing up the pros and cons, like Marmite, as opposed to the one-sided Napalm that he is.

It can come across as anti trump, mainly due to the subject of the thread being the most corrupt and compromised person in public life in decades, and a particularly unpleasant character, to boot.

If you have some positive stuff about him it would be excellent to hear it.

You need to ask?

This thread is a sub-forum for anyone/everyone who hates Trump. If you don't like Trump's misogynistic comments, or you dislike his egotistical outbursts, but at the same time you are also concerned about weaponisation of the US justice process (as an example) you are part of the problem not the solution.

Before you start any post, you need to make it very clear how much you hate Trump, else it will be assumed you are part of the MAGA movement and therefore the enemy.

There is no weaponisation of anything. If anything any attempt to hold Trump to account is pretty feeble and usually they fall over themselves to make sure there’s effectively no impact on him.

I'll have a go.

In addition to being a huge musical talent - we've discussed this in the past - it's also an overlooked fact that Trump is also a tremendous tap-dancer.

Be it rhythm or Broadway tap, he's an absolute genius. Whilst he prefers to perform with the rest of the Trump Family Band, his solo a cappella routines are a work of simple yet inspired delight, and of his signature move - a combination shuffle ball change breaking into a paddle roll with a Shiggy Bop flourish to finish - it has often been said that should Fred Astaire come back to life and witness Trump performing it, then Fred Astaire would almost immediately be dead again because he would have to eat his own heart out.

He's really that good.

If you can't see a large part of the motivation is from Democrats trying to take down their political opponent, I can't help you. Unfortunately, if Trump wins, he is going to do exactly the same thing back. I don't like it; in fact, I think it is awful, but it's now fair game. Let's hope he loses.

Sorry, but that is MAGA pro-Trump nonsense. Trump has committed a load of crimes and civil wrongs. He needs to be tried in court for all of them. He shouldn’t get a free pass, because he’s making a half arsed attempt to save his skin by running for the Presidency again. If anything, he should be made even more visibly accountable.

If he wriggles his way out of any / all of them then the legal system is the problem. It isn’t political in any sense whatsoever, other than what Trump is desperately claiming.

Oh, and I still think he’s going to get away with all of it in terms of there being no impact at all on him before the election.

Frankly I don’t care if it’s the Ninja frickin’ Turtles taking him down. Anyone that can make this corrupt, cheating, lying, thieving, obnoxious criminal suffer is good by me

"It isn’t political in any sense whatsoever"... you need to do more research... specifically the statements from those who have been ensuring the cases are prosecuted in the way they are.

As I say, if you want to turn a blind eye, I can't help you. That is NOT to say I think Trump is a 'good guy' or a good President or a moral person. But I think most people (who are more neutral than most contributors to this thread) will realise what a dangerous road they are on.

At least you are honest (and direct) about it. If/when he wins, just don't be surprised when he does exactly the same thing against his opponents.

A genuine question, ESG:- who do you think started that approach?

The ‘Dems’ or Trump?

Good question. Truthfully, I'm not sure. I remember the "lock her up" chants, which is definitely part of the same problem, so it clearly cuts both ways. But I think, either way, it is dangerous.

It's not Biden, or the Dems 'trying to take down their political opponent'.

It's the law catching up, finally, with a relentless criminal. Merrick Garland has been frustratingly lax about doing anything at all about trump

Have you forgotten/overlooked, as just one example, that this fellow tried to end the democratic process in the US?

Which court concluded that?
