What do you think is made up - the people are completely innocent and the police/CPS fabricated the evidence? Or that the people in Indonesia are sending back faked videos of them doing what was requested?
Probably all of it.
Who do you think made it all up, and why?

Where is it well documented?

The original BBC report is here

https://www.bbc.com/news/extra/Iot1dIWVS5/hunting-...

It reads more like the plot of a lurid crime show with a few screen shots than a well documented report. The brave work of a former lapdancer and a freelance transcriber who are brought together by their unlikely investigations. Reads like total pap.
I think you've answered your own question there - that story documents a huge amount.

I am not sure. The independent researchers look like a weak link. I don't have much faith in the BBC. Telegram seems to feature so I'd imagine internet privacy is in the firing line. There is always a picture of that bloke with a confederate flag and a Trump banner, so likely a political dimension.

All seems a bit wrong.

there's 250+ pages of general research/evidence here if you can stomach it:

I've seen a few of these stories about monkey torture on the BBC and elsewhere, and I don't believe them for a minute. The idea that some Trump supporting redneck in Alabama went on the Internet and recruited a load of Indonesians to torture monkeys just sounds completely made up.

I think you need to reflect on why you read this well researched and documented story and immediately see your internet privacy and politics at risk.

Why did LeGresley admit to it all though? Why did she have payments to those involved in Indonesia?

There are some very odd people around. Both those that participate and those who don't believe it when they are convicted.

The very odd people increasingly seem to be the posters of Pistonheads, between this, and that other mouth breather on the Road Rage thread there really are some seriously odd people on here. Actually gives you an insight into how there are so many freaks doing stuff like the Monkey story when you have such oddballs on a motoring forum.

It's genuinely hard to tell if it's parody / satire / trolling at times. I can't believe a person would disregard multiple first-world criminal justice systems convicting people and explain it away as some sort of lie / conspiracy or whatever.

Although given how many people use PH it's inevitable some loons will post too.

People believe in the conspiracies that it didn't happen, because it's easier than dealing with the horrible truth.

Same for Sandy Hook and so on.

I sadly don’t think this is a coping mechanism rather just a small IQ.

This.

I didn't really want to click on this thread but having done so it's pretty grim for one of the first posts I see to be someone suggesting it didn't happen.

Makes you wonder why you'd plead guilty to being involved in something that didn't happen.

I see the main perpetrator has dole sticks and wheelchair at the ready, + shaved head. 100% will have been claiming cancer or some other fake illnesses st. Lock her up for 30 years, ban from ever owning animals, birds and working with children.

These stories are too upsetting to read. I know that horrible people do horrible things but I don’t want to know the graphic details because I don’t want that in my head, coming back as intrusive thoughts or in dreams.

Hope there are offences these people can be charged with which carry an appropriate sentence.

I wouldn't venture into the Eunuch thread if I were you then.

Seriously, I won’t. I don’t watch gore videos and I don’t envy the police officers who have to. You’re a copper, if I’m right. Do the officers who have to watch horrible videos for work purposes have psychological support, do they do it for a long time or is it recognised that it’s bad for people to be exposed to that kind of content?

Yes I believe they do get support although I have no first hand knowledge.

I have a very good friend who works in some sort of Met child protection role. I have no idea what they see, as they don't discuss it, but I know they do have to view a lot and they definitely have support.
