Are you in the UK? If so, do a google search and sign up for a free library card in your area. They’ll give you a card number and password which can use to sign into Press Reader app for free and you can access newspapers and magazines to your hearts content.
Thanks for that. However, I've just checked my library (Libby) app and gone into Press Reader and The Times isn't listed. The Guardian, Independent, Telegraph, Express and Mail are available though.Edited by Finglescave on Monday 13th November 13:09
I noticed that my DD had gone up to £26 a month (for the full digital subscription, unlimited devices and online) so looked to see what offers were available. Via Google Play you can get an annual subscription to that level of service, at £119 per year if you pay upfront, which then auto renews.
I called up the Times armed with that info and barely had to set it out before they'd offered me their own "staying directly with the Times" version for £99 per annum. 24 month contract, so £99 paid today, which will take another £99 in a year's time.
In any case a bargain compared to £26 a month...

Is anybody finding that since the new Classic app, articles are being often repeated on consecutive days, and some of the journalism has dropped in standard? There was a recent headline about a woman being killed in the storms, the article said she had been released from hospital with minor injuries FFS!
I’m also missing the stock market / exchange rate info in the business section and comments in the photo section which were often quite amusing.

They give me an International digital subscription for £1 a month because I'm an airline pilot and said that I would mostly be abroad when accessing their content.
Alternatively you can bypass their paywall and many others by using archive.ph

Readly has quite a wide range of newspapers, from the Independent/Guardian to the daily express. It also has a huge collection of local newspapers and magazines (including Car, Top Gear, Auto Express). For £9.99 a month I think it's pretty good value.

Sounds too good to be true!

Not sure if it's Premium but certainly all those periodicals you listed are available to download and read for free:So I can join my local Council library (I haven't been for about 35 years!) and that gets me access to the PressReader premium which is normally £27/mth ?

It is possible to read The Times and other paywall publications free online.
Try investigating and you may find out how to do it.
From the comments above about subscription price increases, unfortunately the printed newspaper industry have found themselves in the same situation as Royal Mail.
The arrival of computers have resulted in declining customer numbers, requiring price inceeases, causing further declines in customer numbers.

Cheers Ive signe dup for a Library Card and will then give it a bash. Pressreader appears to have a better selection of newspapers than Readly (I prefer the Times/Telegraph to Independent/Guardian).
Hopefully it will save me £120 per year

When you’re downloading PressReader you may as well get Libby and BorrowBox while you’re at it for ebooks and audiobooks. Same deal - log in with your library card and fill your boots for free.
