For my sins I listen to Kerrang Radio to/from work.

From what I can tell, they've had some people who have been in coffins for the last three days in some sort of "last one out wins" competition.

I'm sure it's not quite as harsh/sever as spending four days in a proper coffin - they get loo breaks and the likes, and perhaps I'm guilty of not appreciating how much difference a grand really would make to some people, but three days maybe more in a sodding coffin for a grand..?

I guess you never watched "The Word" then, because they had a segment called "I'd do anything to get on TV".... They didn't make £1 let alone 1k, but my goodness did they do some awful things...

Anyone else remember that TV programme from a few years ago where a load of people all had to stand around a car with one hand in contact with it at all times?

Last wo/man standing won the car.

Can't remember what it was called though but it was quality entertainment. hehe

I was just thinking about that reading the OP.

On the other hand who has the time to spend three days in a box to win a grand. Perhaps people who do not have a job to go to whistle

But they get loo breaks. That makes it less hardcore.

I'm sure plenty of couch potatoes could manage that without even trying.

But they won't be able to watch Jeremy Kyle or smoke 40 a day whilst inside so they probably wouldn't. And half of them wouldn't fit it it anyway!

4 days = £1k = £250 per day (or 5 days at £200/day!)

Works out about the same as signing on, doesn't it?

I'm sure anyone (with half a brain) could make that amount legally in four days?
