Corrected that for you. Scientists as a rule tend to have a lot of integrity, if for no other reason than their reputation depends on it. That’s why the sales team try to keep the actual scientists as far away from the customer as possible.MBBlat said:

While true re the sales side, there's no shortage of bent scientists. They aren't some mystical group of humans who are generally different. Like all other professions they have liars for hire. Just look at the number of fraudulent small company listings that are owned by scientists, the doctors who have to be struck off, the number of general scandals. The big one at the moment is the sheer number of battery tech frauds being published. There is an endless supply of fraudsters and liars for hire in the scientific community, as there is for the legal, accounting, finance and all professions. It's why they have to have regulatory bodies and specific laws to protect the wider society and their peers.
