Just stepped into the back garden to have a look.

I’m on the beds/cambs border so it’s made it very south.

It’s a massive show!

Nowhere near as impressive as the above photos, but definitely visible in South London…

Super crazy aurora - I've never seen anything like it!

That's Dungeness in the bottom right corner.

Just got back from a drive out to try and see them. Nada. Went from Ilkeston way up towards chesterfield via the villages. I'm gonna be awake still for a bit yet so I'll keep a lookout but might have to try again tomorrow night. A little jealous of those who can see/have seen them, but I had the chance to go to Iceland with an ex not long ago and wasn't that interested, she saw them on the first night! Very lucky in that respect.

For fks sake. I looked out at 10pm and nothing! And went to bed not that long after. Looks like I could have definitely seen it a bit later.

Full rage that I missed a bucket list thing I’ve always wanted to see!

Really sad you didn’t see it frown try again tonight. It’s supposed to still be quite active tonight and clear skies.

It looked like it got stronger as the night went on. Shame it was probably light at the peak. Never seen numbers like this.

I’ll be up all night if I have a chance tonight!. Unfortunately I’m near Gatwick so quite far south but will definitely be checking!

I’m only 15 miles north of you and picked it up last night despite the London light pollution, you should be good!

Any ideas how strong it’s supposed to be tonight?

I can’t overstate how angry I am at myself to be honest! Proper fuming this morning!

Some very good viewing in Yorkshire also, although it was slightly concerning pulling up to a lay-by in the middle of nowhere and finding it quite full of cars already... I was really hoping we hadn't picked a dogging spot by mistake!

Anyway I was very surprised to see it directly overhead, it looked like something had exploded and was shooting out everywhere...
