What Made You Happy Today?

Shattered after a weekend away (another dance competition for our daughter - this time an international final). All their troupe routines placed with one taking first in its category. Pretty good for a small school based in a village…..
“Worked” from home today, which I sacked off early at 6pm. Took daughter to the dance studio in the MX5. Took a slightly meandering route home.
Got home and made Mrs OMITN finish working and head out for a walk around the lanes.
Then home for a healthy dinner before back out in the MX5 (roof down, natch) to collect daughter at 9pm.

Been badgered by Mrs V. to take her shopping at the Ashford Outlet. Totally refused over the bank holiday weekend and looking at the traffic maps it was total mayhem.
Instead I said, why don't we go after work last night. Smooth drive down, totally empty, nice sunny weather, and I got to mash an overpriced Five Guys into my gob. Brownie points banked for my 2 caving trips at the weekend.

I’ve had my new Honda Africa Twin adventure sport motorcycle for over a month now.
As first I checked the little tool box under the tank, but was disappointed to find no genuine Honda toolkit there.
Almost resigned to the fact the passenger seat had a dual head screwdriver and the Allen key, and that was all I got!
But today I decided to play with the main riders seat, and found this little packet tucked down the side of the frame.
That made me very happy indeed today!

No rain. Reasonably productive WFH.
Sacked off work at 4.45 and took daughter to the dance studio in the MX5 (roof down, obvs - so pleased we bought it off FIL).
Then, rather than head home just to come back or sit in the car park of the industrial estate where the studio is, went round the corner to the pub.
Diet Coke, peanuts and the sun warming me nicely. A lovely end to the week. The view:
