She has been a bit up and down this season, but I think she has improved. I am hoping by next season she will be more settled into the role and will be a better anchor. I can't really think who they could replace he with. Lee McK is definatley at her best interviewing drivers, but I don't think she's an anchor.
I've lost interest in the build up shows this year but it is EJ's letchy behaviour over Suzi and her willingness to encourage him on as if to make it some kind of running show joke which I find most irritating. EJ was the clown that Jake controlled but now we just have two clowns and a bewildered Coulthard.
McKenzie wouldn't be any better that Suzi, her replacement needs to be a new face with a genuine passion for the sport.

I'm afraid I find it very hard to have any positive thoughts at all concerning talking heads on TV.
Suzy Perry is no different, OK, she may have tits and look better than others, but talking head she is.
When you have (or have had) the likes of DC , EJ and Martin Brundle commenting and running the prog
they show how woefully inadequate those without their experience are, in trying to present such a specialist sport.
Over the years there has just been one exception, Murray of course , for his sheer enthusiasm, but he,most definitely is a one of.

I don't think Suzi's done a bad job, she's certainly better now than at the beginning of the year.
The thing that really annoys me with the BBC coverage is the incosistent volume mix. A lot of the time it's difficult to hear the commentators as the volume of the cars on track is too high.
There was one point in yesterdays race where I couldn't hear/understand a word Gary Anderson was saying.

Maybe they just don't have the access they used to.
Precisely. Suzi does not help in this respect. She knows no-one in F1 and they don't know her. Some of the previous "interviews" by her have been pretty dire. Maybe the press people at the F1 teams have given up on her so they are'nt offering access?

And neither did they know Jake. Some of the previous "interviews" by her have been pretty dire. Maybe the press people at the F1 teams have given up on her so they are'nt offering access?
It's mostly down to EJ. He's very good at grabbing people and putting them on camera for the BBC. I remember one time EJ went into the Ferrari garage because he had spotted Schumi and convinced him to do an interview for the Beeb.

Not that unusual, to be fair. But lets not knock Gary too much - without him we probably be down to 'Look at the pretty red car.. for some reason it cant catch the nice blue car!'
At least Gary does give us some technical chat.
Good point about BBC not having much access these days.
When was the last time any of them got a word out of Steffano?
And the three of them seem to be shambling around like a bunch of tourists. In years gone by the forum was also done from inside someone's hospitality with guest lined up for a chat.

Dream team DC, Brundle, EJ, Anderson, Crofty. Lee and Natalie eye candy and Ted in pits. Elbow Suzi, Herbert, Hill and the boy you always bullied at school (aka Ben).
I'd swap Herbert for EJ, other than that I'm happy provided that Lazenby and Perry are left out. I tend to flick between BBC and Sky when both are live, I switch from BBC to Sky when Perry comes on, then back to BBC when Lazenby makes an appearance.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
