That's one subtle conversion! Shame the badge gives it away. Bet it really shifts wink

Now that would be an interesting one. Especially if the badging was accurate!

Personally, I have 1 badge on my 200sx. And very few people know what it is/means. It was put on by the previous owner as the Nissan badge on the bonnet leaves 2 small holes. I would prefer no badge but am hopeless at filling holes and painting them so that it matches the rest of the bonnet. I'll stick to confounding people with my S15 Spec R lightening badge for the time being. Several past cars I've owned have had all badges removed completely though.

Seen so many 'Sorted' Escort RST's, RST badged XR3i's, XR3i badged base spec escorts. TBH though, I don't really pay much attention to the badge on the car unless its an interesting car and is one of the increasingly rare ones that I have to look to see what it is.
ironically it might be accurate, PPC have a blue one with a vw tdi lump in it!

Well, BMW mis-named mine, so I just added the badge....

should've got a 'countryman' or a 'traveller' badge
do they make a badge saying "styling dept's joke"
From a former TT owner, I'l take that as a compliment biggrin

Looks good- matches the car well. I hate the myth pepetuated by the motoring press that it's called the wrong name- yes they did do a Countryman and Traveller, but there was also a Clubman estate.

To me, a Mini Clubman would be One spec including steelies, Cooper engine with a couple of choice intake/exhaust mods, Cooper S suspension, optional LSD and no back seat. biggrin

I put up a shed in the garden for Mrs H67s chickens and screwed a Triumph badge to it.

My 205 XS is currently rocking GTi bodytrims and a GTi badge on the back. When I first I got the car I explained to people that it wasn't a true GTi, but was sort of like a carb'd version which could keep a 1.6 GTi honest. Even then I'd get that "Oh" look of disappointment, which made me feel like a Chav faking it.

Now when asked is it a GTi I go sure. Wouldn't want to disapoint the public

I'm considering about putting a XS badge back on it, but I fear that might be worse for my image.

There's a 1.5 LSI Civic Aerodeck that lives in one of the local housing estates with "VCET" emblazoned on the rear quarter panel, made from those little individual stick on letters you buy in B&Q that old people usually put on their letterboxes. If you're going to lie about having Vtec, at least spell it right... biggrin

I've removed all badges just so I can clean the car properly. They get gunk all under/around them anyway.
Saved me 180 grams of superfluous badging on the saab, too.
Gentlemen, you clearly have yet to discover the medicinal properties of old toothbrushes.

Just a word of warning, however, be prepared for neighbourhood derision when you are discovered cleaning your car with a toothbrush. "I'm just doing the badges," might not be sufficient.

I personally feel that this badge changing is a bit silly. Having said that, a few years ago I was driving behind a Golf GTI with the letters re-arranged to Old Git.

I pulled up next to said car at the traffic lights, and sure enough, there was an old git driving it.

Haven't seen another GTI like it since.
I saw that car at the petrol station on the team valley, gateshead some teime ago, it made me chuckle!!

Popped out to Tesco's earlier - spotted a Kia Ceed in the car-park (ditched in the taxi-rank, so probably a 'we're entitled, innit' disability car) - with a V6 badge stuck to the back.

It's not a myth.
'Clubman' in Mini terms meant that it had the squared off front, nothing to do with with the rear end.
The MINI Clubman resembles a Countryman, nothing like a Clubman.. estate or otherwise.

Not far off my spec, it's on 15"s and Sports Suspension, seemed the best setup for my tastes.

A guy at my work here has a Mercedes CLK AMG BRABUS elegance

hehe

And he had the cheek to comment on one of the apprentices car for having a 16V badge on it.

C*NT!

ETA:

The guy who lives across from me feels the need to badge his 58 plate mercedes C180 as an AMG (he has added lip spoiler and tinted the rear lights to add effect) rolleyes

My Uncle has a old run about Mk1 Mondeo Ghia that also has a few ST24 badges stuck on as well as the Ghia ones (Bought like that I think/hope)

Its been a fierce battle but the original Ghia ones are winning just....He still referes to it as the ST24 though & I haven't the heart to tell him its not.

I'm going on a long drive this week so I'll pass the time spotting some of these jokers smile
