The reg is taking the piss. WAS51B doesn’t exist. WAS 518 belongs to a white Lambretta that was registered in 1962 and has never had an MOT. WA55 18 doesn’t have enough letters.

One wonders how a parking ticket has been issued? Or that it doesn’t get pinged by every ANPR in London.

I would have thought if th warden checked it out, and couldnt find an owner based on the reg, it would be lifted and shifted to the compound.

Never mind the dodgy licence plate, I like the way some passer-by has lifted the wipers up in protest that the car may be parked ever so slightly outside of the space. Maybe when WASSIB, whoever he is, gets back in his car to drive home, he'll notice that someone has lifted his wipers up and realise that perhaps he should park better next time.........

Parking on the pavement is still actually parked on the road.

When I am El Presidente my first decree will be an agency to destroy badly parked cars.

There is/was a wheeze where bikers used to park illegally on the pavement, but under a cover as the warden/enforcement officer wasn't allowed to lift a cover. So, the fact they weren't actually displaying a plate meant they couldn't get a ticket.

Of course, some wardens happened to pass when it was especially windy...

No idea if that would work with a car, or if it even still works with bikes.

ETA Wassib can FRO. If that was a common occurrence I'd be tempted to make up a showplate with "TO55ER!" on it and epoxy it to the paint of his bootlid.
