Turbo MX5 or Hot Hatch etc?
Discussion
I've currently got a 1992 1.6 Import MX5. I love it, but using it as a daily I'm starting to wish it had a bit more power. So I've been looking at Turbo options. I've priced a Bell Engineering S3 Garrett Turbo kit which would bring the 114bhp MX5 up to about 200-240wbhp; it would work out at about £3000 incl Management.
If I wanted to Turbo on the cheap, I could probably get away with about £2000 - but I'd rather get a well sorted kit.
So my dilemma is, do I throw a load of money at the MX5 which I know I'll never get back. Or do I get rid of it and buy something like an EP3 Type R or Clio 197 for around £4000.
I think a 92 MX5 putting out about 200wbhp, with suspension/half cage would be a lot more capable than a hatch.. Regardless of how powerful/quick they are.
Any thoughts? Also any suggestions on something to replace the '5 with - I struggle to think of something that I would actually change to.

There's a lot of love for MR2 turbos at the moment.
The problem with selling a car you love is that you will either regret it or buy another somewhere down the road...if with a bit more power you would keep the mx5 for a few more years then why not spend a bit on it.
Or you could buy an already turbo'd / supercharged one for £2500-£3000
