They will take an order, but with me being new to the brand they wouldn't expect me to get a car until 2026 / 2027.
If I buy others it would help.
What a fascinating new world
I use to take it personally, but the world is a diffrent place, it's a shame i liked the "old one" If I buy others it would help.

Although having seen it I really want one so may even wait 3/4 years on a list.

Stunning car in the flesh.Love all the tech, dual clutch and exposed engine cover. And Aventador prices are about the plunge off a cliff so hold on tight. Also the fact this car still has a NA V12 will hit values even harder.
No way if anything it will be the other way round and Aventador prices are going to rise. These are £550k specd from factory if you can get one which will be next to impossible unless you are an instagrammer or a big boy customer.Resale cars will be circa £650-700k for at least 3 years so that leaves the LP740 at half the price. The single clutch actually adds to the entire “raw” experience which will severally be lacking on this new kid.
None of the Aventador variants have any real collectibility variables that are going for it that its predecessors have since horsepower and performance typically aren't value bolstering variables. Already with the Murcielagos you had to kind of pick and choose to get ones that are collectible. That's just what happens when car makers ramp up production with 11k AV made.
I see prices trending down, how far they'll go is anyone's guess.

Think they'll struggle with this one personally..
From a visual perspective, every iteration of their V12 flagship model has been very different to the previous, they were bawlsy designs that always divided opinion when compared to its predecessor but none could deny they were all very different to each other, you could hypothetically own a Countach, Diablo, Murcielago & Aventador at the same time and be happy they all had their own identity, if you added the Revuelto it would look like another Aventador face lift.
On top of that, its 1800kg! 300kg heavier than the Aventador, 100kg heavier than a Murcielago, it’ll need that extra 200hp just to keep up with an SVJ.
Looks - From reading others opinions so far, its 70% hate, 30% like, so its not winning there, early days mind and many change their minds once its seen in the flesh, i’m waiting till ive seen it personally.
Performance - 1000 vs 800 isnt a massive difference once beyond 600hp, add in the 300kg disadvantage and i think this will not help its plight.
It’ll be interesting to see the test reviews (the honest ones)

Gearbox and instant torque will make the biggest difference so 200HP is plenty. Not in my experience, not with added weight on top, its why its 0-60 is no quicker.Imhave an 800hp car and dragged against 980 with same weight and theres very little in it, 200hp is not much at this end of things
300kg has a much bigger effect though, cornering and stopping, you’re talking 20% added weight

Performance will be on another level - that’s granted, but the sf90 already does that and it hasn’t helped its residuals. At £500k with options this will follow that residual downward curve, especially if they start fixing some of the design elements which so far haven’t gone down that well. And then you have roadster and SV to follow…making matters worse.
The Lambo V12s have always depreciated from new - even the SV/SVJs. What has stabilised their prices in the past year or so was the imminent end of production and uncertainty of the replacement in terms of price and engine. This is too expensive and visually challenging to hurt the values of a £250k 2017 S, which not only looks better but sounds like thunder.

I don't think anything you mentioned there will even slightly deter a potential buyer who would be in the market for one.The only struggle Lambo will have is meeting demand for this ( barring wordwide economic disaster along the lines of '90's Jag XJ220 type scenario of course... and I certainly wouldn't rule that out but that's a different discussion)

Agreed that is significant.....but whoever purchased a V12 Lambo for it's sublime handling & ability to be tossed around a racetrack ?Gassing Station | Diablo/Murcielago/Aventador | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
