My garage is 2.1m at the entrance and 2.34 inside where the door opens. My 360 is tight (drivers mirror needs folding in when I reverse in) and if I eat many more cakes I won't be getting in or out of it while it's in the garage.
Because of the way the doors open on the McLaren I think it would be impossible in mine. Although it is easier to get in and out of 540/570 than my 650.
My garage is 2.6m at the entrance so getting it in will not be a problem. Its getting out at the 2.4m at the door opening point which is the million dollar question. I had a F430 and had no issues getting in and out of that, although it was tight. Yes it seems the 570s door also does seem to open more up than out compared to the 12c/650s. Not sure I am going to be able to solve this without hiring one or finding someone near me with a McLaren that won't mind checking whether their car would fit.
Do the windows come up and down with the key? that could make all the difference.
When I bought my car, I intended to park it in front of my garage during the winter thinking I would use it less then.
I tried parking there soon after purchase but had no chance of getting out of the car with the amount the door would open - and my driveway is just over 2.6m at that point.

Thank you for the info, if the door can't even be opened enough at 2.6m then seems like a McLaren is a non-starter for me. A shame really as I would definitely consider one despite all the bad press they get on the forums. The 570 doors are different in how they open, so worth trying if you can. I suspect you'll be out of luck, but you never knowBlackR8 said:

The issue is that if you have a end to end width of 2.6m in your garage then basically you have no room for manouvring and adjusting, you would scratch left mirror, obviously I recommend foam pads to be put on garage wall to avoid damage.
