Looking for 600LT Spider
Discussion
Looking for my first McLaren after a few Lambo’s & Ferrari’s and am set on a 600LT spider but it seems there are literally only a handful for sale?!
I know it was a limited run but is 5-7 cars for sale at any one time the norm? Or can I expect more to come online as we get nearer to summer?
Of course anyone selling or thinking of selling do give me a shout directly!

I like the green one, my only concern is no bowers and the mix of carbon packs - it has pack 1 but not 2 so I’m not sure if the carbon and palladium looks like a mis match? I would rather have all or none of the external carbon if so.
I would imagine the dealer could be a contributing factor to it not selling, seems nice enough but very reluctant to have any meaningful conversations to sell unless you use his finance which is 2% higher than the going rate. The car also isn’t with him so can’t provide videos etc.
Anyone know anything about the red one? Another dealer who seems to be hard to get answers out of - that one I have seen the last service report and McLaren stated the discs should be checked further, dealer has said they are “fine” but when pressed as to why they are highlighted on the report he has gone quiet!

I did enquire about the red car at Brookspeed on the basis that if I was going to have to compromise on some spec the colour was very appealing. The salesman told me it was an SOR car with full McLaren SH and he'd get back to me with the cost of adding the warranty which the current owner could purchase and transfer. That was about 3 weeks ago. I did call back and spoke to a different salesman who apologised and said he would call back with the info. That was 2 weeks ago. Make of that what you will.
They sold my 570s in a heartbeat, ask for Simon, if you dont get anywhere, pm me.I think I’ll pass on them. First impressions and all that.
Probably best to stick to main dealers.

I've got to say my surprise has been the number of cars with comfort spec seats and upgraded music systems and with less carbon pack options that I was expecting. I was expecting things to be more akin to Lotus Exige spec cars with the focus more on "hardcore" rather than "softcore" looks. I do appreciate the cars themselves are hardcore enough I probably just expected carbon packs and Senna seats or bucket seats to be more common.
Without wanting to sound like a 675 owner, the high spec cars are in the hands of longer term owners. The cars for sale are the poor spec cars or ones to avoid like the plague, like the lime green car at Sterling........Makes the situation even more stranger…

X2 cars I was told to avoid when I was looking,,
The Green Sterling car and this black one that was sold on CC ( still the cheapest 600 that’s been sold I think )

Just out of interest what reasons would there be to avoid cars that are being sold with main dealer warranty? Bodywork issues & neglect? The Green Sterling car and this black one that was sold on CC ( still the cheapest 600 that’s been sold I think )

Although warranty is great it doesn’t mean anybody wants a car that lives in the workshop of course!

If it was me looking now and my heart was set on a spider it would have to be either the Leeds car, the Brum car or the Sarthe grey car, the others for sale wouldn’t even get to the Look at stage,, but that’s just me ,,
I like the Leeds car but not sure on the colour. Looks too metallic for me if that makes sense. Seems a bit too light. Need to see in the flesh. Never liked white cars but the 600 looks good as there are so many black / grey parts. But maybe it’s just desperation setting in!
What’s the situation with mileage “correction” on McLaren’s?
Something to be aware of or doesn’t get flagged by dealers so it’s not a common issue?
My last 2 cars (Huracan then Aventador SV) both would flag when plugged in at the dealers as there were multiple places the mileage was stored so it’s not something I’ve thought about for about 5 years - is that the case with the Macs?

What was the spec on the European Prestige one as I’d seen ad but no photos …congrats! They are selling v quickly indeed right now prices going one way.
It’s the one you posted, Vega Blue, Red calipers & seatbelts, P1 seats, Bowers, lift etc. not crazy high spec as no exterior carbon but at that price I’m happy without. Was offered the car that’s at Redline (I think it’s the same one anyway) a couple of weeks ago but when it came to the crunch £15k more for a black car just because of the carbon packs I couldn’t justify really!

Ah ok the one DavyT posted on prev page …nice they are awesome bits of kit …first McLaren for u?
Sorry yes!And yes first one, had 5-6 Lambos and a few Ferraris, 911’s etc but nothing has really grabbed me from McLaren until I saw the 600’s.
Looking forward to seeing how they are to live with!
