My T90 turned up today. Suddenly got a call Friday saying it would arrive Weds. Pretty chuffed with it for the money.

Have done about 50 miles in it already, and yeah the ride isn't great on country roads, but for the money it'll be a great utility vehicle for throwing stuff from the builders merchant in.

To that end, the main disappointment that I've had (apart from the 10 mile range it was delivered with, which meant I couldn't get to a charger and my wall box hasn't been installed yet left for a clenching 14 mile journey to the nearest fast charger) is the sports bar has been removed.

The delivery chap said none of them have them, but interestingly I can see it did have one as the bed liner spray is missing where it bolts into the bed sides.... so I wonder why it's been removed?
Annoyingly, I plan to use the sports bar to carry lengths of timber fairly regularly, so the missing bar is a bit of a pain. Gonna contact CVL tomorrow to ask as the advert did say sports bar.... and it's clearly been taken off post bed-lining being sprayed in.
Got to find a solution now, otherwise the roof is gonna get wrecked...

Otherwise, for the money, looking forward to putting it to work!

I think I mentioned a while back just stick the timber out the back resting on top of the closed tailgate. Assuming there's tie down points low in the bed, a decent ratchet strap secures it in nicely. Anything up to 3.6m is fine like this is my experience - tie a high vis vest to the end if you want be perfectly legal. I have carried 4.8 lengths here in darkest Aberdeenshire but probably wouldn't anywhere else!

Yeah, it's the 4.8m lengths I always need (sometimes 5.2 🤪). Used to strap them on my old Honda CRV... either on the roof or through the interior and out the rear opening glass.

Have contacted CVL and they're looking into it. Just typical as I'll actually use that bar a fair amount.

Anyway, I've also thought the sound effect it makes isn't too bad... and to be honest getting stuck in slow traffic, it wouldn't be that which would send me insane first - more that i can't get the seat into a comfortable position for me and remembering it likes to crawl forwards if you're not on the brake pedal.

Got to go pick up a load of cement bags shortly, so looking forward to seeing how it drives with some weight in the back.

I've ordered some floor mats and green EV number plates so people know it's electric. Someone has already told me I couldn't park in an EV space because they didn't realise it was electric 🤣

Heh, as much as I’m a sceptic of the green plates I can see they’re pretty essential for these!

It should definitely have the sports bars they are standard fit along with the side steps.

Is this Tesco, New Oscott?

I’m still waiting on mine :-( still not heard anything but good to see CVL orders are being delivered. Hopefully mine isn’t too far behind.

To be fair, the driver just hasn’t a clue where the front stops…

That’s a fair comment, even I, a driving god, have struggled to work out where this thing stops and starts in a standard parking place. Don’t think I’ve managed yet to get it perfectly positioned first time.

Haha brilliant. Surely everyone who leased one of these 'in stock' deals has turned to Google to find out what's happening.

Had an update from CVL today... told them i don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I'd love a sports bar and they've sorted with the dealer that one is bring delivered to me tomorrow to fit. Can't beat that service from both CVL and Maxus (but that's maybe cos I just ordered a defender from them as well as couldn't resist the cheap deal)

Fair play to them for sorting it - I wonder if it was robbed to put on another one in the first place (ie replacing a damaged one or whatever)

I gather it’s been a bit of a shambles at the port etc.

Saw a red one this morning , in High Halstow Kent. Must say it did look good in red, the front does look imposing when you look head on.

To me it looked more red than orange.

Ace. There’s definitely a red available in some markets but it’s been unclear as to whether it was actually available in the UK

I drove behind an orange one for 5 miles or so. Can see why it would look red in some lights.

When I went to test drive back in December the dealer had a couple of postbox red ones, definitely weren’t orange. So I think they were available, maybe replaced with the orange.
