Seems there’s a proper fire sale on these at the moment - £19790+VAT to buy or some really cheap leases:

I gather they’re pretty ste but you’ve got to be tempted at that money, right?

Where are you seeing that price? These were £60K when I read the reviews (which basically said not worth £60K, but...)
Autotrader, there’s a dealer advertising them.

It’s roughly the same monthlies as the PCP on my 2 year old Zoe that I bought 5 months ago - if I could get out of it I’d be all over one of these.

Did anyone snag one at £100 a month on a 1+11?
I think so. Was asked to pay the admin fee earlier, but haven’t heard any more yet.

It has a 150W (lol) mains socket in the cab. I think that’s as much V2x as it does but I’ll be very happily proven wrong on that front.

Is that the price from the dealer for the actual ones or the one that comes up when you Google it for that kind of price?

That was one of the deals, central vehicle leasing.

There must still be some about got a call a moment ago saying they’ve got more stock (OSV), although a bit more now I think?
I meant for the hard top

This is the one. I'm surprised they've gone with using the Maxus branding over MG, guess it's to separate passenger and commercial brands in Europe. SAIC make a huge range of cars and they get badged differently in different markets.

Yeah it can’t just be me that thinks it’s daft having the “Maxus” brand stand alone. Even more so now they’re launching a car - the MIFA 9 people carrier thing.

Bloody hell! Don’t suppose you know how much the dealer were for a towbar and electrics do you?

Tow bar is showing as £195 + vat, and electric kit looks as tough it’s separate at £155 + vat. I’ve got the accessories brochure as a pdf if you want it? Just drop me a message if so.
Oh yes please, I’ll message you now!

Edit - seems your account doesn’t accept messages on here. If you could email it across to modern heroes cars at gmail dot com that’d be great!

Which lease dealer/operator would you recommend for one of these?
You’ve probably missed the boat, I know OSV were rushing to get them all done yesterday because they close from today until after the new year. Might be worth giving them a call this morning if you’re willing to sign up straight away though.

A double cab D-Max only has a 1100kg payload anyway doesn’t it? I think if you need to tow loads then fair enough but complaining about it only having a 1000kg payload is nonsense.

I see two types of pickups, battered dirty ones belonging to tradesmen and farmers and a larger contingent are pristine clean and the furthest off-road they go is a couple of wheels on the kerb whilst the children are disgorged outside school.
I live on a new build site and loads of the black hats drive pickups. They never carry more than a lunch box because materials are brought to site.

And virtually all those owners are actually just fine with the min 1t load limit.

The number of people that actually need more than that must be pretty small. Obviously we have one poster here who's used to being able to carry a fair chunk more but I seriously doubt that's a common 'need' amongst pickup drivers.
I’m guessing if the Maxus was manufactured somewhere else they’d suddenly need less payload.

Had my agreement from the funder to sign today, confirming the registration number.

Didn’t work at first but about 20 mins later they sent me another email which did, odd.

That's good to hear mate. Are you getting any accessories?
I've looked at a few tonneau covers etc but to have one whilst retaining the original roll bars are silly money. So I've been watching a few YouTube videos on making your own. Looks pretty straightforward so I think that's what I'm going to do.
Think I'm going to get the tailgate central locking kit too, only about £40 from Aliexpress.
Not going to buy anything expensive apart from a towbar. Might be able to wangle a tonneau from a mate’s accessories business though.

IIRC the reason you could buy a brand new MG ZS EV for £20k towards the end of 2020 was because VW were buying credits from them in some form.

Just had confirmation of reg number today and signed agreement etc. Apparently now need to wait for 14 days (cooling off period), then it will be delivered. So hopefully only a couple more weeks which will come in handy for my daughter who’s moving house at the end of the month!
Is it NV73 *** ?

I'm told there's a st load of them sitting at the Port of Tyne.

The cooling off period gives you the option to return the vehicle in the first couple of weeks as well, but you are not getting it until then…..
Can't say I'm surprised tbh - having to bear the cost of delivery and collection on a £100 a month lease is bad enough but a terminated one you see nothing for is even worse.
