I am genuinely surprised how slow going our growth is...
To be honest so am I. ...Although to be fair I only found it by accident via the Porsche forum. I tend to bookmark the topics I want to read so rarely go to the Gassing Station. Had I not seen a thread about a 911 Targa for sale at Jacksons I'd still be blissfully unaware!
Still, it's great to finally have a CI thread. Now we just need to spread the word.

Good to meet you in person today ...Although to be fair I only found it by accident via the Porsche forum. I tend to bookmark the topics I want to read so rarely go to the Gassing Station. Had I not seen a thread about a 911 Targa for sale at Jacksons I'd still be blissfully unaware!

Hopefully we can get from two's company to a crowd soon
Hope the car is cleaner this evening

Good to meet you too, apologies for the brevity of the meeting. Hopefully I'll have time to grab a coffee next time.
You did shame me into cleaning the car when I got home however

Mine normally only goes out in nice weather so a bit of a cheat. Sadly I experienced some light rain at about 13:45 yesterday (a couple of hours ahead of forecast) so she did in fact get a wash and chamois before being tucked in the garage
Coffee and cake next time!!!
Good to meet you...

Afternoon all! Guernsey based member here
Just discovered there was a CI section after a few days lurking over in general gassing, so thought I'd better sign up!
Thanks James. Please spread the word, you never know we might hit 200 posts by the end of the year (!) Just discovered there was a CI section after a few days lurking over in general gassing, so thought I'd better sign up!
What are you driving, or what would you like to be driving

Will do! Hopefully have somehwere to chat that is a little more informed than the facebook forums! What are you driving, or what would you like to be driving
I'm in a mk1 octavia vrs at the mo. Got it back in July but not totally smitten with it... But taking it to the UK over Christmas for the first time since I brought it over, so some faster roads migh help it grow on me Bought our first house just over a year ago so it's a matter of trying to have as much fun for as little cash as poss!

Nice looking car that has good write ups. Balancing house and car budgets is a challenge here too! I think getting the car away is essential. It is hard to get a real feel for a car's performance in Guernsey (well, unless you are quite happy to risk your licence!).I'm in a mk1 octavia vrs at the mo. I'm heading back to South Wales so planning on a trip up around Brecon - some great roads around there. Just hope there's some dry weather...
Ah yes, Brecon. Used to have a partner in Cardiff so been north and west (and east!) a few times Some great roads, few cameras. There WAS a nasty accident one year not far north of Cardiff when a people carrier ran off the road into a reservoir on a sunny afternoon and if I recall 4 occupants drowned. Very very bizarre! So, be safe

The B4560 from Crickhowell to Llangynidr is probably one of my favourites.... It's just a great road . http://goo.gl/maps/aWiX3
The pin on this map is at the hairpin used by loads of car journos for smoky drift shots!!
