hi everyone, just realised there isnt anything in the sticky section about iva, there is an sva manual, but that is now obviously out of date

the best link i can find for the manual (m1 which i think is what most people are building) is here

http://www.transportoffice.gov.uk/crt/repository/M...

i hope this is of help to someone

the changes i can see so far after a quick read through

reverse gear
reveres light
horn
head rests
brakes, cant be adjustable back and forth( may have to be welded, not sure)
brakes, may have to be split left and right rather than back and front, ill look more into this - i thnk you can ignore this, its just each system(half the split total system) has to work on a wheel on each side, so it can still be front and back seperate
much more expensive

has anyone else found anything else different?

im determined my car is going to pass the IVA, we bought the car before the sva was introduced, so im determined to get it through the iva

mods, can you consider this for a sticky, as its what were all building to now

doug

Are there new head restraint rules on the seats? That could make it fun for use getting the passenger side sorted.
I think your meant to have head rests for both fornt seats (not sure about rear, if you have them)
I think its ok to have the head rest seperate and attached to a roll bar.
