The set that we had on are basically 4 weekends and one test day old! So basically they had done 5 to 6 hours and 18 heat cycles! So no wonder they were suffering! The cerb is good on the rear and hard on the front due to the weight transfer, at Silverstone we must have been close to 1700 kegs as I had been in a pie eating competition in Wigan the week before sponsored by Geoff! I couldn't understand anyone so I just ate! ;-)
Ideally you want to run them for about 3 hours to a max of about 6 but by then even If there is tread depth they will be totally shagged.
Some of us have been know to run them for longer
the rears on mine are into their 3rd year and not exactly round as someone left them on the car all winter doh
Even after 3 hrs your giving away soooo much time, and if your up against others with new rubber each weekend you'll need to work twice as hard to keep up.
So with 5 race meetings you could get away with one set but 2 would be more realistic
