Hi everyone. I have arranged with Charlie for a rolling road day for 1st June @ Surrey Rolling Road (Chobham, Surrey). I posted this initially on boxa.net and we have 8 attendees of various incarnations of Boxsters.

To keep Charlie happy and to reduce everyone's cost I'd like to open it out to any other Porsche owners who fancy attending. Up to 10 runners then the cost is £40 and over 10 runners will be £35.

Please post up if you wish to put your car on the dyno. There is some discussion about a post dyno lunch at Stovells in Chobham if anyone is interested too.

Perhaps things have changed but I didn't think Charlie did Pork due to the cooling issues?

Had been thinking about booking mine in anyway..I assume there's not problem with the 4WD system on a 997 Turbo on their dyno? I know from a past visit, some 4WD will have a problem - mainly Haldex-equipped cars, but just checking.

Would also recommend the Old School Cafe nearby for a pre-dyno breakfast/meeting point.

I have twice run my car there and seen numerous other pork on there too. I believe Charlie has a 996TT so 4wd should not be an issue as I have seen other 4wd cars run on there.

As Jez says, Charlie won't run any customer Turbos.

Guess it's due to the single fan arrangement?

Heat soak was a bit of an issue on my RS4 when run there due to position of the IC's - can only see the turbo being worse in that respect.

Sorry chaps, no customer turbos, can't get enough air to the intercoolers, though all other 4wd Pork is quite welcome.

I'm booked in to this with my Boxster, but if you come along I'd love to have a chat as I'm seriously thinking about a Cayenne Turbo S circa 2006.

I'm interested if spaces remain, 996 C2.

Cheers, TX.

If Charlie is OK with a Cayenne then why not. I've seen a huge Dodge Ram type thing on there before. Perhaps I should bring my FFRR too for laughs.

Thanks for everyone's interest. The limit for the day is 25 cars but if we get many more than we do now lunch might turn into dinner!

Next thought can check out exactly what my car is producing and meet some phers

Then read no turbo's

I'd like to keep it Pork only and somewhere around 15 cars running. This is manageable and means that for those that choose to we can probably all go for a late lunch together after the last run.

Spectators welcome. Please put your name down so we can identify numbers and who will be on site. There is a car park to the right as you enter the site. I am not 100% sure whether we can use it in this visitor fashion but will try and find out.

Charlie can easily cope with 20+ (as long as the night before wasn't a biggyhehe)

I know but selfishly I don't want to hang about all day nor do I want to leave the last few on their own if everybody else peels off for lunch!
