Hi. I have recently notice that during hard acceleration there is a slight drop in rev before catching up again. This only happen on the gear I was in and not to the following gear during acceleration. Its a tiptronic gearbox by the way. Is this a sign of problem from the gearbox? Anyone experiencing the similar issue?

From what you say, almost certainly.

In basic terms, in any given gear the revs should climb proportionately with the increase in speed. If there's a slight drop in revs without a slight drop in speed, then that points to a problem with the gearbox/transmission.

Possibly.

Have a read of this thread and see if anything sounds similar to your scenario, and then perhaps get in touch with one of the Porsche specialists (or perhaps more appropriately, an Auto transmission specialist) in the London Area.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but my 996t was a manual! smile
