New rear brake discs and pads on V8 Vantage
Discussion
Chaps, if it's any help we've had to source original Pagid pads for a client recently - My chap is Rick @ BMG.
Mention Umair @ Garaged sent you. Price to PH'ers is around £100+vat (As he's a PH'er himself!)

Regardless of how cheap you can get the OEM Brembo/Pagid stock AM pads, you couldn't pay me to to put those noisy and super-dusty pads back on my car. In fact, it was the first thing I replaced on my car as soon as I bought it.

+1As Umair kindly mentioned, I can supply front and rear pads for the V8 Vantage and the DB9 upto 2012 and they are totally original .
I can offer fellow Pistonhead members the brakes at £95 + vat per set. Unfortunately the wear sensors are not available as yet, so if anyone else offers them they have just bought them from Aston Martin. Please PM if interested, [url]

I bought a set of Pagid pads from Rick at BMG Autoparts Ltd (01372 378951 or PM him - see further up this thread). Great guy to deal with, very efficient processing/delivery by BMG, and lower price than anywhere else incl Eurocarparts etc for Pistonheaders!
Just changed the pads this afternoon - very quick and easy job. My warning light hadnt come on yet, and I was able to remove and refit the wear sensors. The only thing is that I managed to drop and lose one of the tiny springs that holds the sensor in place.....if anyone replaces their pads/sensora and wouldnt mind sending me their old one, please PM me! Seems a waste to buy a new sensor just for the spring!

Just to update this - still looking for one of the little springs, if anyone is thinking about changing their pads and sensors! It really is simple on the Vantage....must've been the quickest pad swap I've ever done. Not really worth putting it in to a garage, even in terms of the time lost driving there!

Just to remind people. Rick @ BMG Phone: 01372 378951 is cheaper than Euro Wrong Parts by a fair amount. They are the same as what came off (from what I can tell) and he's got an AMV8 to boot. Got the sensors from him as well, all round pleasant experience.

Only thing I'd add to this discussion is that I recently found out that AM dealers received a bulletin awhile back concerning the installation of any pad (inc handbrake pads). Their technicians are now advised to coat the rear and edges of the pads with something like copper grease (albeit it's not copper grease they actually use - it's just similar to copper grease).
This has been shown to significantly reduce brake squeaks and squeals. I had it done to my pads at an official franchise recently and my brakes are so much quieter now.
