You have to also recall Irwin has raced there before he was also backed by Bord in his early years so there is a common link.. Bridewell was a gun for hire and they hired him.

I am fairly sure he will be glad to see the back of it, maybe not the bike but the team. He will be very well paid by Honda probably the first time he has been in that position!

And as others have said, run the no1 plate and then maybe quot and live his life, he has nothing left to prove
Similarly to Leon Haslam, TB appears to live for bike racing. I just can’t see him retiring until he gets into his 40’s.
He does but everything was a means to an end, that end was to win the BSB title for his brother, he's done that now so after this....not much left for him to do, IF as everyone says he is joing Honda, then he'll have raced for one of the biggest non factory teams - although i think PBM pretty much is Ducati in the UK racing wise - and then for one of the biggest Factory teams with the No1 plate so he can retire happy and carry on with his farm which he appears to like doing.

Irwin on the other hand, you can see him carrying on until he has several British titles under his belt.
That's my take on them anyway

According to BSN, PBM are exepected to retain Irwin and Bridewell and DAO Kawasaki are expected to just go with Buchan which is a bit of a slap to Elliott

I suppose budget constraint is an issue. If two bikes isn’t an option then a race winner on the bike isn’t a bad idea.
Possibly so yes but it is a bit of a slap to Brayden Elliott though after riding the ZX10 in STK all year then riding Dean's old bike for the last few rounds.

Interestingly Lee Jackson is riding for Hawk at the sunflower trophy this weekend.
Very interesting, be a shame to see Josh Owens lose out on a ride but i should imagine that is the least of his worries right now if Lee Jackson ends up there.

BSB column with James Whitham also says that Jackson is finding for Hawk next season.
At least he's got a ride with a decent team which is the main thing

McAms staying as title sponsor of the Mar Train team, to be called McAms Racing by Mar Train.
Apparently raceways - Steve Rogers company - will also be sponsoring the team as a technical partner.

Edited to add that Irwin confirmed he's signed to stay with PBM, and the Pathway bikes confirmed now too
I find it interesting that Glenn Irwin has made his Instagram account private now, i know it wasn't a month or so back. Maybe he's either learned that social media is a double edged sword or he's had a quiet word in his ear by someone to keep a lid on things.
I think this last year has opened his eyes to just how damaging social media can be and i can't say i blame him for wanting to protect his family and his image going forward.

Anyway, be good to see him on the same bike with the same team next year and hopefully fighting for the title again and with no McAms Yamaha team, the field is that little bit thinned out.

Bridewell back to defend his title do we think? And if he is, the same team?

Dean Harrison has been announced as a Honda Rider for next year in BSB and the Roads.
Great news. Next year's TT will be extra spicy.
Honda also retaining Andrew Irwin.

Just TB and Lee Jackson to announce where they are going now. Oh and Iddon too but i expect him to stay with Moto Rapido

They must have told Jack some good stuff about the incoming 600RR, thats some signing. He just looks so much better on a supersport.

Lee Johnston is intending on coming back to Supersport next season too, he announced it in his youtube videos. They have sold their R6s and he says he is in discussion with a manufacturer about bikes. I assumed at the time that was Hondas.
Said for a long time i think he is one of the top riders in the world on a SSP bike, just cannot transition to a Superbike for some reason

American Racings face saver statement said theyre trying to seal Rorys future at world level, but highly doubt it will be in the GP paddock.

I don't see them having enough clout or working closely with anyone that can provide anything in the WSBK paddock, its a real shame for the guy but I'm not sure where he goes from here.
Best thing for him would be if they could get him a ride in WSSP, build his confidence back up again, then he can progress from there.

I'm 99.9% sure he's going to be on the 3rd Honda, but has contract issues to resolve (ie, he's probably asking for a zillion pounds, and they're offering less)
So who would be on the second Ducati at PBM then? Lee Jackson?

There was a chap in our shop the other day who works for OMG, I forget his name - think he’s a behind the scenes chap to do with the transport of everything..

But he was quite happily telling anyone who’d listen that Tommy was off to join Shakeys new team which he’s starting with someone else (think ex-rider). They had bought the McCams Yamahas and TB was riding for him with Bradley Ray. Said it was due to be confirmed on the BSB day at the NEC if all the contracts were sorted in time.

I just thought it was all hearsay until I heard Christian Iddon mention it on the last Chasin the Racin podcast. So maybe it does have some truth to it.
Bridewell, Byrne and Ray. Some serious ability and kudos there.
Would be a hell of a team that’s for sure.
Lets say the above is true, who replaces TB at PBM? Jackson? Recently fired Skinner?
Am i missing any obvious choices?
