None of the 'other offers' he was waiting for came good then!
Perhaps. Will shut up the PBM naysayers though!

Naysayers? Or realists? Don't think it will be anything like the 'PBM' of yore. Most of the expertise went and found jobs elsewhere, quite naturally, and I think it will be last year's bike and last year's spares, thanks to the extended period of uncertainty.

I think he still has to be favourite for the title though, knows the team, knows the bike and crucially, has data for the tracks from last year.
If he doesn't win it this year, then there is something wrong somewhere

You are quite right to be realistic. Either way they are on the grid. With last year's bike that dominated the championship.

Leon announcement on Tuesday
Any ideas what he announced? Googling brings up last year and golf days but nothing BSB2024 of relevance (this thread shows on the first Google page though).

I thought he was making the jump from Colgate to Sensodyne.

Racing 'for BMW', or racing on a BMW ?

On a BMW with some factory support by the looks of it. The title sponsor obviously links back to the factory WSBK team.

It’s run by SMR, so part of the WSBK team

Does that make it a second factory team alongside FHO?

Whilst Leon is super talented and I’m sure the BMW will be very good, I can’t realistically see anyone getting the better of Glen Irwin on the Ducati.

I though lt it a little odd there was no mention of the bike or title sponsor on the Irwin announcement

Seems fairly clear on the bike manufacturer at least.

yes i agree with this, with the best will in the world it has to be difficult to see past PBM and Irwin winning again

Then again without a team-mate to take the points for second place, the competition will be closer than they were last year. I reckon the Yamahas will still be a good package.

I hope someone does.

So many decent blokes in BSB and then we've got people like Irwin and Bridewell...

I know. Hopefully Graeme will answer it.
