Hello VAG experts

Anyone owned or have any knowledge of these?

Been looking at Japanese auction sites as for years they have often had the petrol 4wd cars that we never got here. And of course in RHD.

This looks to me to be a great option and preferrable to me to the diesels.

I could get a great condition one, shipped here and on the road for about 6-7K GBP. I think it would be a great daily

Thoughts?

Well I bought the Alltrack in the end. It’s 2012, 59,000 miles. The dash information is in English (GB) and the readout is in MPG/MPH and Celsius.

The dials themselves are still kmh but that doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
As it’s a Japanese import it’s about 370 quid for 12 months road tax and is the 155kw EA888 engine, black and black leather, seems to have a very high spec but of course no sunroof.
The entertainment/sat nav seems to be Jap specific, but I will see if I can get the Bluetooth working. Might be tempted to replace it with a UK unit.

Next step is to get it insured. Not sure whether to keep it or sell it, as I also imported an A4 Allroad, so decisions decisions…..
