Anyone with them and how are they?
Im currently with 3 and i believe they use the same network, im considering a new phone and contract from Carphone Warehouse and the deals look good.
Phone im looking at is a Samsung A55 and over 2 years is £39 down and £18:99 per month which is very reasonable compared to some.

I'm with them. So far had no issues aside from the app was down for a couple of weeks at one point. The network itself is fast and cheap. Wifi calling works, 5g works, EU roaming works.

However, beware. There is effectively no customer service. Everything on that side is done via a forum.

Because of this, stuff that would be trivial on other networks can be a PITA. For example - if you want to keep your number and go from a sim-only deal to a deal including the phone, the only way is to get your PAC, switch to another network, then get the PAC from the other network and switch back.

Ditto, both myself and daughter are with them. Get 5G regularly and the include roaming as standard.

YMMV biggrin

Have had sim only with them for about 6 months, regret switching from EE. Coverage is just OK, if you're happy with 3's coverage then you'll be fine on that front. They have went down for hours twice in the 6 months, whilst 3 has been fine. Social media showed a significant amount of people affected, seems maybe they weren't paying their bills to 3 or something...

That's close to £500 for a £360 phone on Amazon

IT'd be better to buy outright and go with GiffGaff or Three PAYG SIM IMO

I've got the A55 for my business mobile; it's ok & does the basics I need it to do; but I'd rather put that money towards a Pixel personally...

I've had an A53 for 2 years and it's been fine for me and my usage tbh.
Point taken about buying outright though.

If you can get access to the discounted version of the Samsung online shop (I can get it either via MyLebara or via my work Employee Assistance Programme provider), that phone is £345.80 and the earbuds are reduced to £62.37. Lebara sims cost buttons (Vodafone underneath, so decent signal) and Samsung will accept Klarna or PayPal Credit if you want to spread the cost out. Worth considering?

Up here in Northernshire, Vodafone & EE are awful, 3 is much more reliable, as I said before YMMV.

It was an A53 5G that the A55 replaced and I regretted it (the A53 was getting slower & slower and the A55 isn't that much better TBH); bought the Pixel 7a but that's the wife's now... The A55 only gets used for calls/texts and Whatsapp between me and clients/candidates etc

I have tried the cameras and they're fine

Personal mobile is an iPhone 15PM and I've got a Google Pixel 8 Pro as well...

I'd still recommend going for the Pixel 7a over the Samsung; it's a far better phone IMO and vanilla Android with no bloat

Fair enough, I’m the opposite and 3 is unusable, though so is EE. As you say, pick what works for you! Bear in mind though that Smarty might offer a better 3 deal and IIRC, they’re committed to no price rises ever.

??? The deal he is looking at has an effective cost of £20.61 per month.
Buying the phone then getting a similar GIffGaff sim would cost £35 per month.

ID is fine as a network.

OP it might be worth having a look at mobiles.co.uk who are CPW online only brand, sometimes they have slightly better deals.

3 out of the 4 in the house are with them. I've been with them for 4 years now. £10 a month gets 60GB data which rolls over (effectively 120GB a month if you don't eat into the principal).

£7 pm sim only unlimited calls and texts, 30gb data included, no roaming charges unless you go over your plan limits, difficult to actually speak to a person they do everything via chatbots it seems, been with them for about 3 years coverage normally pretty good, system was down for a few hours yesterday and despite their promises no one from technical phoned me back as they said. For the price I pay I think their OK.

Decided to give them a go, sticking with the A55 as it's more than enough for me.
Thanks for the input.
