Really enjoying it, never been very good so matchmaking was great for me :-). Found a few times though (and dont flame me) I get kicked for inactivity during a game that I am actively playing - I enjoy just being a sniper and camping ( I know I know, but I get more pleasure from hiding and getting 5 kills and no deaths to 20 kills and 10 deaths etc) but if if I do not move my character physically (I mean I zoom in and out, look all around, take some shots, but stay n the same place) then I get kicked - I have to physically move him every minutes or so to prevent this - 1st works problems I know!

Lobbies were better for me last night, it feels like the hit detection is better than the last version.

I got a 25 and 5 in a TDM earlier, felt like a pro gamer, but usual service was resumed in the next match laugh

It's quite amusing at just how muted and disinterested the general response to this COD has been. It's their worst performing effort for a good few years, definitely the biggest turd they've launched since Vanguard.

I didn’t bother with Vanguard, WW2 does nothing for me.

MW3 has great maps and plenty of them, CW had 6 at launch I think?

I’m liking the daily challenges, makes a break from the norm.

Zombies is great too, plenty to keep me busy during the winter months cool

I was going to get it then I saw a couple of clips comparing it to MW2 and frankly it was almost identical......

This would have been a day 1 purchase for me at one point, in fact I would have had it on pre order but for some reason I just can't get overly excited about it, I've walked past it on supermarket shelves a few times now and been tempted but then not bothered. I'm old enough to have played the original version of the maps so in theory I should be their ideal customer.

Seen a lot of people playing it on videos complaining about SBMM, does seem they are frustrated they can't get into a lobby with less experienced players to boost their K/D ratios, SBMM seems like a good idea to me.

I have noticed since MW3 came out it's harder to find matches in MW2, I guess a lot of people have migrated over and what really frustrates me is that when I went online to play MW2 I was subject to a massive 200GB update which makes me think they have basically loaded MW3 onto my hard drive and it's taking up 1/5th of the drive without me being allowed to use it.

I think originally it was planned to be sold as a DLC, so for £70 it’s not cheap, but for 6-12 months of gaming it’s ok value imo.

And yeah if you liked MW2 this is much the same.

I'm finding that now the novelty of playing classic maps has worn off, i'm getting bored of it already. Could have done with a couple of new maps in the mix too.

Thought it a bit of a rip off for what should have been DLC especially when they are literally remakes of old maps.

Perhaps this was their last cash grab before the Microsoft deal and hopefully free COD if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber?

Nice to see some of the guns and extras from the last game have carried across however they are much much worse than the new guns you earn in the new game.

Not sure what to think

LOVE the maps, much rather have these than rubbish they design nowadays

However I’m getting tired of doing really well then getting annihilated left right and centre and an arse slap for good measure.

Its like a roller coaster for success, Sometimes I just want to relax and play.

I also do not like the unlock system, give me level unlocks instead of the daily challenges system

Played around 250 games now.

- Generally enjoying it, plays really well IMO
-SBMM I am not a fan. Taken away any element of finding good players and sticking with them. Gives all the advantage to people playing together regularly.
- The unlock system is a shambles.
- People who don’t mute their mic
- Cheats. Can spot them a mile off. Ruin any game you are in and of course they are always on PC.

I caved in and bought it on Friday evening, I am enjoying it so far. Nice to be playing the old maps again.

Not keen on the unlock systems for guns and upgrades but overall happy with the game.

I’m hooked, tried to get as much X2 XP over the weekend as possible.

Loving the map variety and also now playing most of the different modes, I used to only play TDM.

Also think I’m starting to understand the auto-aim assist, having the dot in the middle of the screen at all times and then ADS to get the gun to pull towards the target instead of trying to free-hand all the time and missing too many shots.

Working from home today, might get a few cheeky games in between jobs.

I've seen my first case of cheating last night - on Scrapheap, somehow they were getting our team to spawn in one spot in the corner of the map then two players with the same tag were just constantly using under gun grenade launchers to muller us.

I'm only playing domination and hard point at the moment.

I've played a fair few games now although my PS5 HDMI port is not sending signals to the TV so it's in for repair until tomorrow. It plays quite well. There seems to be very little recoil on most of the guns I've used so it seems easier to get kills but also levels up your opponents too. My biggest gripe is the name. I know MW2 is accepted as the best COD and they've brought a load of maps back but in my opinion, the MW3 maps are the best ever made and the original game was the best COD. Calling this one MW3 and not giving us Mission, Dome, Arkaden, Seatown, Resistance, etc. is disappointing. I like the nostalgia of the MW2 maps but a lot of them are too big for 6v6 and it gets a bit too campy as a result. I'm now waiting for MW4 to come out and hopefully give us some MW3 maps!

Loving this so far, have sunk about 40 hours in since release as I coincidentally ended up with appendicitis the weekend it came out.

Couple of points I've picked up on so far...

The SBMM seems to adjust constantly which can be quite annoying - you almost don't want to do too good as you know it'll have a detrimental effect to your next few lobbies.

You need to copy the best 'Meta' weapon builds from streamers etc. If you aren't using an overpowered or slightly broken weapon build then you simply aren't competitive. Time to kill is hugely important in this game so flinging on random attachments you like doesn't usually make an effective build.

I guess its the usual scenario we see on Warzone where there's an update and some of the best weapons have their performance reduced, and some others have theirs bumped up. I suspect we'll see this throughout MW3 also.

I do agree some of the maps are too big for 6v6 and it seems a lot of players camp around the edges and aim inwards hoping someone will cross their path. I have done some and spent a long time running around the map looking for someone to shoot.
I played a game on rust however yesterday and I just couldn't get moving on it, map seemed massively overcrowded somehow.

I like Rust but the spawn points can be easily exploited.

3 new maps on 6th December, looking forward to that!

I see War is now unplayable given the under map exploits. Shame. I'd also really like them to use those 2 old maps they've reused to make War as a separate set of maps in 6v6.
