Season 2 out on Feb 7th, it does need some new maps. As much as I like the classics, bit bored of it now.

I've found the classic maps to be a mixed bag; some I still like this time around like Terminal, Scrapyard and Sub Base. Quarry and Derail not so much. Rundown is just a fundamentally poor design IMO.

Still hasn't stopped me going for the camo grind though. Just 3 snipers left to get from gold to forged and I'll have the 36 forged camos needed for Priceless. Unfortunately one of those snipers is the Katt AMR, which i enjoy using but to get Forged you need 15 wall bangs. I've already got the 60 required between the 6 LMGs so I'm pretty used to going for them, but with the LMGs you can blind fire through the crates on Shipment with a reasonable chance of hitting, but that approach is too low probability with the Katt. So it's just waiting for Scrapyard and Highrise to come along so you can shot through the fences. I really hope there aren't any more wall bang challenges as it feels bugged lately to me, with not all of them counting.

Riddled with cheats. 9/10 you suspect someone and they are on a M&K. Was literally getting shot from under the map yesterday.

Can’t turn off cross play as my mate is on Xbox. Would very much like the option to not play with PC.

Rundown is okay but it's Wasteland that is garbage. Wasn't good then and isn't good now. I can see why they did it, central tunnel for some chaos and a big spraliing area around it for campers!

Terminal, Skidrow, Afghan, Invasion and High Rise are all brilliant.

I've seen a lot of cheating/hacked lobbies of late. I was in a game yesterday, domination in Scrapyard, 30 to 40 seconds in and a player on the other team called an SAE in! He'd only got 1 kill and no captures.

Got my first obvious cheater yesterday. 20 seconds into a Shipment game and helicopters and cruise missiles start and continue the whole game.

Apparently they're level 252 and got 160 kills in one game.

Why bother?

I unlocked Interstellar at the weekend so I'm pretty bored of playing it now. If they bring in some OG MW3 maps instead of the MW2 ones, I'll jump on again. Derail, Estate, Highrise, Wasteland, etc. are all just too campy and sniper based for me. Give me Seatown, Dome, Resistance, Mission, etc. and I'll be on like a shot.

That's some good camo grinding! I got a bit more time in last night and I left it needing only one more wall bang with the Katt AMR to unlock Priceless.

From what I've seen of season two, the new maps coming whilst not MW3 remakes are at least small and medium sized maps so you might like them. To be fair to the devs, they seem to have actually listened with MW3 and added new small maps like Meat and Rio and to a lesser extent Greece, all with an emphasis on fast paced play.

Yeah, it was a grind but easier than Vanguards and MW2's. The Katt AMR wallbangs were a nightmare. I ended up doing most of them on Scarpyard. Had to camp and lie prone against the metal fence overlooking the warehouse building, pointing the gun into the fence at the open door at the other end and waited for people to come through. Got some abuse! The Akimo pistol kills affected by tactical were also a grind. Had to use Shipment but by the time the flash bangs or stun grenades had kicked in, I was normally already dead! Took a little while.

Looking forward to a few smaller maps to run and gun on. I find I quit any lobby where Derail and Estate feature. As much as I can play them, I find them frustrating.

That Rio map is really good for objective based games like domination and hard point.

10 years ago I thought highrise was ace, but it's my least favourite now.

Anyone else noticed with challenges or season pass they say things like "23hrs to go" a day or so later they've added more time to it so its another 2 days or something. Every event / season they do it

It took me a while to notice that the countdown was in days and hours e.g. 9D 18H.

For a moment it seemed the clock was resetting itself.

Any thoughts on Season 2 yet?

I played one game in Stash House that seemed to last a lifetime.

Not played much last night but had 2 games on Stash House. Certainly, a small and manic map! I enjoyed it on TDM and I suspect KC will be the same. Domination was a complete mess though. It's so hard to grab a flag with such a small map. Add the noob tubers into the mix and you can just forget about getting anywhere near a flag.

The Horde game mode is fun but you don't seem incentivised to actually kill zombies from a points perspective, other than collecting stuff and ending the game early. I PTFO and came last each time with low K/D (not that I give a monkeys about the latter)

My biggest bugbear is people not playing the objective. I just don’t understand the mentality!

I normally play the objective but when I was doing the camo grind, I had to use the Shipment playlist and that rotates game modes. If I was just interested in getting kills while affected by tactical for example, I was just concentrating on flash banging people and killing them rather than capturing flags, etc. I suspect a lot of people are just trying to grind guns rather than being concerned with the objective or winning the game.

Its the COD fanbase. Its not BF. They just want shooty shooty bang bang. No one ever PTFO except me.and I can easily get top score in a squad by sitting on Domination points for 3m plus in a game with some decent field upgrades, as opposed to someone with 3 seconds and 10 times as many kills.

Unless it's S&D and then it's played exclusively by people who filer out every game mode except S&D. I filter out most game modes that are not objective based but I do wish they'd have Grind as a permanent mode, I love that.
