By the way, we're all spread out all over the place (I'm 8000 blocks away in a mooshroom biome at the mo).

I said months ago that the novelty wears off after a while but some said that wouldn't happen and they couldn't get enough of it.... Some of you mentioned doing a community project : go ahead guys, you don't need my permission!

There's a nether track to it Robb. The spawn portal has now been removed seeing as no-one is doing anything there, and it's now been moved next to the End portal at Tumbledown, which to me seems like a good place for it if people are building far out and want to go to the XP farm. Jump through the nether portal at Tumbledown and then take the long nether track to the end and the portal there will take you to the mooshroom biome I've started building a base there.If you fire up Amidst you can see the world map of where all the biomes are. Seed is -8341789712309422048 (needs the minus at the start). There are several mooshroom islands out in the ocean around there, but there's a good 1000-2000 blocks between most of them.
By the way I'm not averse to people using the powered rail duplication glitch - I noticed some discussion about it in the server logs. I did in fact use it to make the nether rail track. 
It will likely be patched in 1.3 which is due out any day now so make the most of it while you can. A youtube search of 1.2.5 rail duplication brings up many tutorials on how to do it. A tip for anyone wanting to use it - the direction you're facing when you place the rails is important and it won't work if you're not facing the right way. Also, removing and replacing the redstone dust super fast to create the pulser requires very fast fingers.
Oh and FFS don't leave the pulser running when you're not using it. The huge amount of items sat there will cause the server to lag like f

OK guys, so we're nearly a month in now on the new server from Jestservers and I don't know about you guys but other than it running out of steam whenever Mike activates his 1000 entity wheat farm it's run flawlessly for me. I've not seen anyone else complain so I shall assume everyone is happy with its performance.
